NEWS ricky is coming back

we could play ricky for half the season and then sell Al Davis on him..that guy loves headcases.

but really, no complaints about having Ricky and Ronnie playing in the same backfield.

if he comes back, it better be for the league minimum :yell:

I'm sure they'll renogotiate a contract or come up with one that eliminates the 8.6 M debt. I'm sure lawyors will go over it with a fine tooth comb. I'm sure it would be cap friendly for us also. I did a little research on Fred Edelstein and apparently he was a big NFL insider with his own new letter, guest of espn etc. But in 2002 he got caught up in some fraud (stealing money) and spent some time in a federal pokey. He has been working back in the feild since his release and still has good contacts. What made me sincerely believe him was the details he gave on the whole situation. They spoke 15 to 20 minutes in detail and what had been done (all the dates) and what was going to happen. etc. For a second i thought i had tuned into a south florida radio station.

Look, if RW comes back, so be it...that only helps us IF he has the desire to return to football.. If he is returning to appease the debt to the Fins, then I don't want him back. But that is not my decision either. The upside, is that rookies tend to run into a little bit of a wall come about the end of Nov, beginning of Dec. That's basically when their college season was over...Now, by that time, RW will have served his suspension and even if he hasn't rebuilt the muscle mass he has lost by then, he will be in much better playing shape and can carry more of the load while Brown is getting his legs back under him. Just a thought of why Saban might be willing to bring RW back. Personally, I still think there are so many IFs around him returning that it seems that it is a futile attempt on his part, except to appease the debt to the Fins. I would assume there'd be a new contract or an addendum to the current one, because basically that contract is voided since he "retired". The IFs are just to much for me to see him coming back...

Peolple have to understand that RW has some issues with anxiety and such and he made a terrible radh choice to retire, he was easily a top 10 back b4 he left in a terrivle system. I know he bailed on us and his timming was horrible, his descision ruined our team last year especially with wanny's philosiphy. Who knows what a year off has done too RW, i am not as worried about him game shape phydically as i am with him mentally and how his return will affect him. He can easily be a top back and get us trade value, i say get him back and let him loose, my bet is we can trade him at years end for something good as it is my belief he will return to top form in the NFl!

trade him to the Raiders now!!

He has no trade value. James and Alexander couldn't even go for only a second round pick.

Nobody would give anything for Ricky.

Saban is always talking about value for the team, Ricky's value for the Dolphins would be for him to come back and play well. Imagine him and Brown in the same backfield it would drive defensive coordinators nuts and open up the passing game. Why doesn't anybody see that?

One of the main reasosn's that james and alexander are still around is their contracts, come on. No one wants to assume these salaries and demands, RW contract will be very affoedable. ( thtas how raiders got more value out of buchanon then us PS, his contract was still at rookie pay scale with 2 yars let on it fo 600 and 700 K) So with return to top form we can get better value for him

actually ricky is suspended for the whole 2005 season unless he kisses major *** to the nfl and they somehow change it...despite that even if ricky does come back hes probobly gonna be traded

I don't know if Ricky is coming back or not....what I do know is that he isn't suspended for the entire 2005 season. He will have to miss the 1st four games of the "05 season and if he returns prior to June then he COULD be suspended for the year by the NFL. If Edelstein(sp?) is correct then there was a deal with the NFL to let Ricky back into the program early with no season-ending penalty.

I'm sure that if Ricky were to return, the NFL would have him in that program ASAP and they would like to squash his spouting off to the media in the future. With all the trouble MLB has encountered, the last thing the NFL wants is players running around bragging about how to beat the NFL Drud tests....

If Ricky was to go to another team he would want more money, he is broke.

i see it. could you imagine them lining up in the two back and each one blocking for each other on different plays, or and could you see them line up, with ricky at HB and Brown at fullback and then motion brown out to receiver along with the other 3 receivers, ricky stays in to block. There are so many options. If hudson can get these big oofs to play some line. i think we will have a very good team this year. He!! we were winning 10/11 games with freakin jay feidler for gods sake. Right now personnel wise i think we are a better team today. Sabans defense is going to be relentless with stunts, blitzes etc....you know what happens to brady when he get pressure...

he said he was re-instated into the drug testing program during the owners meetings and will begin regular testing when he comes back from india. He said his friends now state he has been off weed for two months. He said this all is hush hush for some reason (he gave the reason but i forget what he said) . and something about a july date. :cooldude:

I don't think any objective fan can deny his ability...And I hope he does return fully, but to use the anxiety issue is a cop out. He didn't have the issues for the the 3 years he was here until July of last year ?? I don't buy it... The offensive philosophy was fine when he was here. It fell apart after RW leaving since it was built around RW and he was gone !! Again, I hope he returns again and is back like before...the problem is that you can't trust him anymore...here or anywhere in the NFL...we won't get any value for him.

if ricky comes back to nfl he will be traded hes not coming back to miami

If you listen to Saban's post draft speeches, he talks about this. He said picking Ronnie would not keep Ricky from coming back. He said Ricky was a part of our team and he would welcome him back.
