NEWS ricky is coming back

HelloMotto said:
he said he was re-instated into the drug testing program during the owners meetings and will begin regular testing when he comes back from india. He said his friends now state he has been off weed for two months. He said this all is hush hush for some reason (he gave the reason but i forget what he said) . and something about a july date. :cooldude:

Yeah the July date has to do with Ricky staying retired for a full year. Since it was July when he retired he can't come back until then. Since he was retired and didn't fail the last drug test as a NFL player he won't have to serve the full 1 year suspension. I heard this on Sirus satelite about a month ago. I to thought it was common knowledge. I have heard Saban refer to it several times in passing. I don't know how well the team will welcome him especially since we have a new college stud. And I doubt he has any value since Alexander, Henery, and Edge are still available. Williams would only get us a 4th or 5th round pick at best. IMO

Oh man if this is correct I'll go nuts!!! Im still a Ricky fan and Ill say it proud and loud!! Im happy with the draft...and now Ricky(comming back)..is like another 1st rounder in my eyes thats proven, (when sain).

Ricky Williams is the ****!!!! I would love to have him back.:)

I hope this is true so we can trade him to whoever we think will have the worst season and get their number one pick and use it to pick Matt Leinart.

Don't you guys see how diabolically brilliant this whole thing is...Ricky met with Zach and Jason last year with a plan to oust Wanny AND get some relief for Ricky; as Dave was running him to death like a mule.

They told Ricky to take a year off, smoke some dope, heal from the pounding you've endured, and we start this thing fresh in '05 with the best Running back TANDEM ever put on a field and a slightly better head coach.

Mu uh ha ha ha

I like it !!!! A true conspiracy theory. It was all a part of the bigger plan. Also AJ has been throwing the ball to the other team on purpose so we could get a higher draft pick. AJ is really the next Marino, he just wanted to get rid of Dave before he showed us. :roflmao: :roflmao:

Sources have also indicated that WHEN Ricky comes back he will be wearing #34 again, but will have the name "He Hate Me" on the back of his Jersey, as opposed to his previous "R. Williams".

If you listen to Saban's post draft speeches, he talks about this. He said picking Ronnie would not keep Ricky from coming back. He said Ricky was a part of our team and he would welcome him back.

Just like Saban said he was interested in Braylon Edwards. If Saban stated that there was no way in hell that Ricky would ever play for him, then Ricky's trade value would decrease to zero(if its not there already). Not saying that Nick WOULDNT play Ricky, just that you have to be careful with what he says. Remember, this isnt the same simple minded coach we used to have.

My comments are this:

If it was this common of knowledge it would be all over every major sports outlet, and its not. So I highly doubt that it is true.

If it is true, then I would welcome RW back. Ronnie is a good recieving back and Ricky is a work horse back. Good compliment to each other. Also RW was tired fo carrying the load and this way he would get some relief. Some of you have short memories. You need to do a web search and go back and watch RW highlights. He is one of the greatest runners to ever play the game. We would be fortunate to have him back. Ronnie Brown is good insurance in case he gets loopy and walks again.

Oh, if it were only true.

1) Leaders of this team have openly said they would welcome Ricky back.

2) If Indy and Seattle can't get a 2nd for thier RBs what makes you think we can get anything for Ricky. Even if he does try and get a trade for Ricky, you still have to give him carries.

And for Pete's sake.. read some transcripts...

If this Cleveland radio personality says Ricky is coming back, he has sources that no other outlet, anywhere has access to. I searched everywhere for backup for this story and found nothing. If a rumor of this magnitude held any weight, more than 1 person would be talking about it.

I still believe it's true. Search all you want you probably won't anything on Ricky's return for 2 reasons.
1. With the way Saban runs things it hard for info to "leak" out.
2, This can't be announced until after July or else Ricky would still be subject ot a year suspension.

Probably because;
1. He is technically still retired
2. It's the off-seadson and players are free to go where they want until mini-camps, TC, etc.
