NEWS ricky is coming back

I still believe it's true. Search all you want you probably won't anything on Ricky's return for 2 reasons.
1. With the way Saban runs things it hard for info to "leak" out.
2, This can't be announced until after July or else Ricky would still be subject ot a year suspension.
But "somehow" this guy in cleveland got it, blabbed it all over the airwaves days ago, and STILL no one has anything on it. If it is true why did it just die there?

I mean this is huge sports news if it is true.

actually ricky is suspended for the whole 2005 season unless he kisses major *** to the nfl and they somehow change it...despite that even if ricky does come back hes probobly gonna be traded
WRONG...he has not already been suspended under any way shape or form....he could be if doesn't enter the NFL's rehab program. But that still remains to be seen. Where the hell do you get your info from pal. If you don't know then don't comment, don't just make sh*t up.

As long as Ricky doesnt come back before July, he wont be suspended for the full year. According to league rules, he still owes a 4 game suspension for failing his earlier tests. The NFL gave him a chance to serve that suspension during his retirement, but Ricky did not respond to their offer. So, as it stands right now, Ricky can return to the Phins in July, and can begin playing in Week 5.

Plus, maybe saban wouldn't leak it, but if he filed papers with the NFL, they are not know for keeping secrets!!!

If he comes back after July, he only faces a 4 game susp. before he faces a year I beleive!

not a guy in cleveland, It was NFL insider Fred Edelstein (former big time NFL insider or self proclaimed) called into the show. The deal can't go down until july something. But the peices are already in place for it to go down. He gave excellent details. I just can't remember them all.

How long do you think it would take Ricky to get back to his playing weight? I mean its been well sighted that he's about 30 pounds under his playing weight and hes become a vegetarian. I think if he comes back he should have to suck it up and eat a whole cow.

WRONG WRONG WRONG.....Anybody else that writes this **** just shut up....because you are just stupid. DO you really think anybody would give us anything for Ricky????? What a 5th rounder??? No thanks!!! nobody would give more than a late 4th for Travis Henry for christ sake.....and he doesn't have any character questions AND HE HAS BEEN TO THE PRO BOWL!!! So shut up. Saban can manage Ricky....Ricky wouldn't come back if it wasn't for Saban.....and he has more value to miami than any other team. DEAL WITH IT! RICKY WILL BE A DOLPHIN......AND YOU IDIOTS BETTER SUPPORT HIM.....BECAUSE YOU WILL ALL JUMP BACK ON THE BANDWAGON WHEN WE HAVE 2 1000 YRD BACKS.....AND WE ARE WINNING FOOTBAL GAMES AGAIN!

Mod edit: When you call people stupid and idiots you get to take a little vacation from posting but, when you call an admin stupid and an idiot, you'll be lucky to ever post here again. I'm giving you 24 hours off but, I'm almost positive that you've been suspended before and I'm going to double check that. If you have been suspended before, you can expect a much longer vacation.

You just got pwned by my mod. So it's doubtful that you'll ever be back to respond to this.

Anyway, if we have two 1000-yard backs, do you not think that Saban would look to trade Ricky?? Of course he would. You've got a young RB making #2 overall money. And you'll have a Ricky Williams who's probably not going to want to be a backup or split time. Odds are he won't be making the minimum either. If he is and he rushes for 1000 yards, he's going to want a hefty raise.

Again, why would Saban not want to explore draft compensation for Ricky if he shows that he's back to his old self again?? He'd be crazy not to.

As a general rule, the ones who yell the loudest and insult most know the least.

i dont see ricky coming back we have alot of backs on roster plus we just got kay-jay harris

A couple of things. First, Fred Edelstein was notorious for making up crap. He had it as a done deal that Marino was going to be traded before JJ's first game, and kept brining that crap up as a new "scoop" throughout that first season.

However, despite his notorious lack of credibility, I'm beginning to think Saban REALLY does want RW back, and not just for trade purposes. After drafting Brown, Saban listed his ability to, and I'm paraphrasing here, "play with another significant player", as being one of Ronnie Brown's appealing qualities.

I don't like it, it makes me sick, but I'm curious if there may not be something to this. The part about counting his 1 year "retirement" as his "suspension", with no 4 game suspension for the 05 season sounds COMPLETELY consistent with the way the NFL handles things. I've said it before, multiple times even, if RW wanted back, the NFL would find a way for him to play. He was a superstar, and the NFL treats those guys VERY, VERY differently than the Jeff Zgonias of the world.

Time will tell.

What would his contract be like assuming that he could return. He would obviously not be worth what we were paying him, nor could we afford it.
