Newsday: Dolphins worst team in the NFL

Brown: Yes they continue to own us head to head, but they will not have the defense Miami has, and will be be counting on mostly Rookies on offense to hopfully become successful. They will also be playing Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals, that is 6 very tough games, while Miami will have the Pats.

The Browns had a better defense than Miami last year while playing against all those teams. Trent Richardson is a pretty good rookie to rely on.

Jaguars: They have worse problems then Miami at QB, nothing special at receiver or RB, and their defense os worse then Miami.

Ever hear of Maurice Jones-Drew? Or Justin Blackman?

Panthers: No, 1 player (QB or not), In only his 2nd year does not make a teams better. Miami is better all around better on defense, and will probably do enough on offense to win game, the Panthers will be behind by a lot of points each game...good luck to Newton each week.

Ever hear of a guy named Dan Marino?

Bucs: Nothing about the Bucs impress me....I know, nothing about the Dolphins impresses you either, but the Bucs seem to be nose diving more and more each year.

Bucs were 10-6 in 2010...nose diving more and more each year describes the Dolphins.

Wow. I mean, if this isn't bulletin board material, I don't know what is. It would't be hard to piss me off as a player reading all that crap.

BUCS- really they were 10-6 two years ago? How about last year? What has Blackmon done in the league yet?

Panthers- Newton isnt Marino. Stop it.

Jaguars- Moore > Henne or the 1st round QB from last year.

We closed out the season at 6-3, better than Cinci's and jets 4-5; we beat teams with a cumulative winning percentage above .400, we've offloaded Sparano and the OL bozo, got rid of Columbo, aded a smart coaching staff with "winner" imprinted on them and lost Marshall but upgraded in almost every other position. We had a competent QB and if he gets beaten out, we've only upgraded that position. Jake was one of the top LTs at 60% healthy; he's now firing on all cylinders. We have one of the best FG kickers in the league and on and on. These azzholes are morons.. or is it: "these morons are azzholes"????

That team that finished 6-3 is totally different from this one. We have a whole new coaching staff, a whole new defensive and offensive system, no more Brandon Marshall, a totally different QB situation and no more Yeremiah Bell.
That doesn't mean we're going to be terrible OR great, all that means is last year's 6-3 finish has nothing to do with this season. Think about it logically though, we have nothing on offense that scares anybody, serious mediocrity at QB, a rookie coaching staff (outside of Sherman) big question marks on the interior of the o-line, no safeties, one pass rusher, one good corner and an all around good but not great defense. Could a couple of guys surprise and cause us to win a few more games than people think? Of course, but on paper we're really not far off from being the worst team in the league.

Not really, Miami's defense underperformed early on, but by years end, Miami had the superior defense......1 rookie RB is not normally going to instantly make you a good running team, no matter how dominant

Relying on a Rookie, really?...good luck with that. MJD is a very good RB, forgot about him. Still Like Miami's chances more.

Ever hear of a guy named Dan Marino?

Yes, actually I did, did you know that Miami had 1 of the top defenses the year before, or that they had the Mark brothers at receiver, or that that they had one of the best pass-catching RB in the league....you didn't? Well now you do.

Did you actually watch the Bucs, records tells you very little, this is why a team that had a bad record the year before all of a sudden is able to play much better the next year.

Listen, Miami will be the worse team in football next year, continue to believe that if it makes you feel better.

this entire league revolves around the qb position tayo...i don't know why you would think any different...nothing changes a teams future forecast and outlook more than a franchise legitimate signal caller under center...and cam newton is legit...

i envy carolina...

There are far more problems with Carolina then a QB can fix, and for the record, as good as Newton is (And I think he was very good last year, and will be better), he will not be able to will his team to victory, that would require a QB to be elite, and not sure he will be Elite next year.

Edit:
Oh, and by the way Hoops, I do agree with you, we can only hope to have a QB with such a good future as it seem Newton is destined to have.

Man, I must be super homer or something because I really don't think this team is that terrible.

You're not far off, people on here just like to expect the worst so they feel better when it doesn't happen. Nobody wanted to play us towards the end of last season and for good reason (we gave both Superbowl teams all they could handle). Given our easy schedule I'd expect us to have between 7 and 9 wins this year.

We also clobbered the Chiefs, but somehow we are now worse than them too, Newsday Logic I guess.
Wow, I completely forgot about Kansas City. They would definitely be one of the teams I'd rank below Miami. Matt Cassell, lol.

We're definitely not the worst in the NFL. I'd hand that dubious honor to Jacksonville especially if MJD decides to take games off this year without a contract

Here is my opinion:

In the AFC East the Pats are leaps and bounds above everyone. This will be a wire to wire runaway to the division title, Pats fans can already be talking about home field advantage and a first round bye before TC even starts.

I think Buffalo has improved there defense but they still have Ryan Fitzpatrick and an offense we pretty much DOMINATED last season. The loss of Brandon Marshall doesn't change that. I expect we can and will give the Bills and Jets all they can handle.
