Next 4 games will go a long way in determining playoff fate

We are scoring 4 more per game then last year.

Improvement takes time and patience.

He has RT17 on pace to possibly throw for 4000 yards.

Miller could get 1000 yards rushing.
Hartline and Wallace could top 1000 receiving yards.

Not a bad offense compared to dolphins offensive teams of recent years.

By the stats you posted, you're right. The downside is that most of Miami's points scored have been early in the game. It appears that the opponent's defense makes adjustments and Miami has problems scoring, while the opponent's offense continues to score. Sherman is unable to counter adjustments made by the defense, so once the opponent figures out what he's doing, scoring practically stops. If it wasn't for the defense, Miami would not be 4-4 because this offense can't win on its own.

Good point. The Fins score 12.1 in the 1st half but then fall off to 9.4 in the second half.

That makes it hard to win these close games.

The real key is Patterson. He has to stay healthy and be on the field. Tim and time again has shown we are a different team with him out there. We have two shutdown corners with him in there. Without him we are playing with a gaping hole on that side and we get picked apart.

I was just going to say that. Then read this.

btw, people should take a look at SD schedule. They have KC twice and Denver twice. Ouch. They play in D.C. tommorrow then back east again for us in two weeks. They have played east coast 3 times I think now. Wonder if the fourth travel east does them in.

and the only stats I care about now is

1. turnover battle
2. red zone scoring
3. first downs
4. W's

Stats dont really give you the big picture. There are alot of teams with good stats but record doesnt show and vice versa. In this league it is week to week.

We face rookie QB's four out of 8 games. 3 of those four are on the road.

The only real telling stat that kills us is the sacks/turnovers at that position. If Sherman follows a similar recipe the rest of the way out from Cincy, things will change.

Let Philbin and Tannehill win a divisional game that matters before crowing any playoff idea.

This for sure is our best chance for a run right now. Beating a crappy TB team followed by an average SD team, the jets, a decent Carolina team. All winnable. If they want to be taken seriously another 3-4 game win streak is needed now.

don't overlook tampa bay...with our luck they'll get their 1st win against us smh.

Offense is not playoff ready....the coaching, the schemes, the talent....just not all there yet. We just don't score enough to win playoff games.
