if coker gets fired, of course. if other, say who please.

i think greg schiano would be perfect. he's shown how great of a coach and recruiter he is at rutgers, turning them from a bottom 5 team in the entire Division 1A to what looks to be a team that can compete for the big east championship year in and year out. he's an excellent recruiter, getting tons of guys from the miami area, as well as jersey and new york. plus he has ties tot he program when he was d-cooridinator under butch davis. he's young and a lot more fiery than coker.

Simple Answer

Anyone better than Coker....which leaves just about every coach out there except Wanny

honestly, if Butch Davis is a possibiltiy, id go with him,. Hes a great recruiter and a very good coach to.

Don't know much about him but alot of the Cane fans seem to think pretty highly of Shannon.

That's a good choice, Rutger's destroyed Illinois last week and beat UNC the week before. That was almost unheard of before he got there.:dolphins:

Coach Shannon would be a perfect head coach for this Hurricane job

President Donna Shalala at the University of Miami loves Coker and him as a coach..thats why i dont think Coker is going anywhere no time soon :nono:

If I could just choose anyone in the world it would be Steve Spurrier  but thats not happening.

I think Shannon would be a good choice so I voted for him after thinking for a while

Now that would be very interesting.

I mean I know he was a terrible NFL coach, but as a college coach there is no denying he was great, with his reputation in Florida and the recruits he could get....especially on offense....wow

I'll stop dreaming now and wake up

ZOOK? Believe it or not there are much worse coaches than Coker. However, all Gator fans can feel your pain... we had Zook for way too long.:(

Coker is not that bad, he is just not the right guy for this program. I think Coker is a great OC, but he was in over his head trying to be head coach at maybe the most scrutinized school in the nation (along with possibly the most hypocritical fans in the country). He had the unfortunate pleasure to succeed Butch Davis . . . who completely turned the program around and had some of the best recruiting seasons in the history of college football. Tuff act to follow. I mean Coker should have had back to back NC's . . . so give him credit . . . but its obvious he needs help and is not capable of going thru the everythings of a college coach . . . especially of a program who is EXPECTED to be top 5 every year . . . just too much. I think he is a good disciplanarian and good with the X's and O's, but his definite weak spot is recruiting and maybe he is not intense as he should be whether it be in practice or in the game. Hell Lehan got a 5 yard penalty called and Saban almost ripped him a new one, he had the crazy Nick face on lol . . . . we don't see that from Larry. I would love for him to stick around as Assistant Coach as the OC, but I doubt that happens.

Butch Davis would be lovely to have back tho, people forget he almost had Cleveland in the second round of the playoffs that one year . . . he gets a bad rap, but I think he still is a mastermind as a college coach . . and he is still young.

 When Florida hired him, I was like WTF?!?!? Who is this guy!?! Especially when Gruden said he would have been interested in the position before he went to Tampa Bay. But I couldn't be happier with what we ended up with.
