Not saying whether I agree with it, I'm just making a prediction. If anyone else has said this already, sorry.
Our owner wants entertainment and bang for the buck. The organization is in trouble. We can't win at freaking home. This guy would come in here and shake the tree. Plus you would have a sumo wrestling match with his brother twice a year. Imagine the smack talk for those battles.

As much as it pains me to say this, the Ryan's can coach. Ten times better than there dad. I might be just too old school to take the trash talk. Anyway, there you have it. Go easy on me.

I actually threw his name out there on another forum as well for the same reasons you mentioned. Not to mention did you ever see a Ryan that didn't like the camera and you can bet Ross would have them on Hard knocks.

Instead of a handshake at midfield, him and Rex would exchange punches to the face...

I would take Rob Ryan in a heartbeat as long as he comes with an outstanding GM that can put talent on the field. I am not too fond of newbie coaches with coach/GM responsibilites; Cowher might be another story but not a first-time head coach.

Guys like Gruden and Ryan will create initial buzz and excitement. But will be out of a job within 3-4 years. The only "name" coach that intrigues me is Bill Cowher. Guys like Gruden, Ryan and Fisher don't.

i think it will be fisher gruden or cowher...and i think cowher will get the first dibs...and next to sparano they all look like gold...not really seeing rob ryan in play but who knows

i think a top 10 pick and this returning team may be enough to get cowher down here...but i bet we have competition for his services...i do hope we keep this modern day offense and just retool some of the talent on the oline especially

Ireland would need to be fired along with Sparano for any of the "big 3" to even consider coming here. Even with a poor season, I could see Ross keeping Ireland around. Which might mean a guy like Mike Nolan or Rob Ryan would be the only real choices.

Does anyone have an actuall reason why Rob Ryan should be our coach other than he's Rex Ryans brother? What has this guy done in the NFL? How man top defenses has he run? NONE.

Rob Ryan has been a defesnsive coodinator for 7 years and only had one year where he defense was even in the TOP 20. Seriously, how is this guy even being considered? If he wasnt Rex's brother, you would have never heard about him.

Please read my post on this. Rob Ryan is NOT Rex Ryan guys. You all are star struck by the Jets. There is no indication that Rob Ryan is remotely ready to be a successful Head Coach in the NFL. His resume and results do not support him being a coach. If Rex was not his brother none of you would consider this even.

Finally!!! A voice of reason

fire ireland also...he hasn't done much since he "took over" anyways...fire him and sparano...do not lose out on cowher or some other proven pro coach because jeff ireland must stay

and mike nolan can walk also if need be...if cowher came here he'd get you a good dc replacement anyways

Compared to Rex , Rob is a moron. They are completely opposite people folks. Rex is a good coach and a real character. I personally love the guy, great for the game of football. On the other hand, Rob is the darkside of the Ryan family. Has a disposition like a jack mule. No, Rob Ryan will not be an NFL HC anytime too soon anywhere.

We do not agree much but this is true. Firing only Tony is not going to change anything. Look we fired Henning what has that done ? If Ross decides to axe people he has to have a plan to go from Ireland all the way to Tony. The new GM and HC will pick their own people and retain who they think is worht a crap.

If they fire Tony and keep Ireland he will only bring in another person like is already here and Ireland would still bring in the Cowboys misfits as they get cut.
