Next coach of the Dolphins = Rob Ryan

How bout we focus on somebody who's actually been successful as a head coach.

Not saying whether I agree with it, I'm just making a prediction. If anyone else has said this already, sorry.
Our owner wants entertainment and bang for the buck. The organization is in trouble. We can't win at freaking home. This guy would come in here and shake the tree. Plus you would have a sumo wrestling match with his brother twice a year. Imagine the smack talk for those battles.

As much as it pains me to say this, the Ryan's can coach. Ten times better than there dad. I might be just too old school to take the trash talk. Anyway, there you have it. Go easy on me.

not saying he would be a poor choice. (although i certainly dont think hed be the best or correct choice either). there is no way rob ryan is our next coach. he would be perceived as second fiddle to rex in his own division and that stadium is EMPTY. rob ryan does not have the history of success needed. that shot in the arm this franchise desperately needs. its not going to happen. this small type of splash wont work.

one of two things happen with the first the most likely. ross ponys up for gruden or cowher OR he finds a quality GM and that GM makes the hire. if thats the case there is no way the GM brings in rob ryan to lead this team. plenty of factors involved here.

guys i understand the rob ryan love. but honestly at this point - its undeserved, and its misguided

Too much Rob Ryan hate in this thread; he was obviously good enough for Belichick to hire as a defensive assistant. Has anyone thought that perhaps the reason his defenses have not been top ranked is simply because he has had horrible talent on the defenses he has coached? Can any of you name a single player on the browns defense? Jury is out on him until the end of the season, I am curious as to how he does with players like Ware on his team now.

Does anyone have an actuall reason why Rob Ryan should be our coach other than he's Rex Ryans brother? What has this guy done in the NFL? How man top defenses has he run? NONE.

Rob Ryan has been a defesnsive coodinator for 7 years and only had one year where he defense was even in the TOP 20. Seriously, how is this guy even being considered? If he wasnt Rex's brother, you would have never heard about him.
But isn't this the same reason we drafted Mike Pouncey?

That may well be. But at best is that he is unknown. He has not achieved enough coordinator success to earn a spot at the top. Sorry there are too many proven winning head coaches available.

Maybe we drafted him because he was a three year starter on one of the premiere of the teams in the county including a national championship. And was graded as one of the top centers in the draft. Think that had anything to do with it?

Heh. Yes indeed.

Rex Ryan was all the terrible things we called him, wasn't he?

So much so we now follow the Jets and want his brother.

sorry, i dont want my head coach lookin like a guy who never gets dressed right in the morning or ever gets a haircut. sorry...but impressions are important. it starts with how you put yourself together.

not in favor of rob ryan, there has to be better guys out there than him, i am pretty sure there is

I'm not saying that he was a bad prospect, far from it. However, would he have been drafted that high, especially as a center, if his last name wasn't Pouncey?

If any of the Ryans is a coach in any capacity on this team, I will BURN every dolphins item I have and never watch another game.
