Next Dolphin inducted?

peyton manning said the one defensive player he had trouble with the most was zach. it was a chess match. zach matched peyton on everything. zach is one of the smartest defenders to ever play the game. how can zach not make it, being the forth all time tackler.

Cris Carter is like 3rd in receptions and he is having problems sniffing the hall of fame as well. I dunno, if I had a vote, I would put Zach in on his first ballot . . . I know what a dominate MLB he was, I was privilleged to watch him for 10 or so seasons down here. Unfortunately, many people who haven't seen him, only see a short white guy who plays with heart and tackles. Not known for big plays and never played in big games.

unless kooch gets in by some miracle, it will be a long time before a dolphin gets in. jt will get in but it will take a few tries. i doubt zach gets in unless its a situation like kooch, 25-30 years later.

1st guys (some). Its Cris Carter not Chris.
Then i think Koch should get in being one of the best for along time. I agree with many about ZT and JT and would love to see both get in at some point but may never get thier.
After that its hard to say. If Ricky didn't miss that year and then get hurt the next. I think he would be in as well.

Why not ZT? Arguably the second best MLB since 1999.
Just my opinion. I've been watching the Dolphins for almost 30 years, and I'd take ZT over any other Dolphins' linebacker during that time, except for possibly Offerdahl. But I just don't think he's ever going to make the Hall of Fame.

I think JT will be a Hall of Famer and I hope ZT can be one aswell but if he does he won't be a 1st ballot. But I think Kuechenberg will be the next H.O.F. And I think Mercury Morris very much deserves to go into the Hall of Fame.

1) This isnt' MLB players don't go in with "teams." So saying Carter will go as an Eagle isn't how the NFL HOF works.

And even if it did work that way I'm pretty sure he'd go in as a Viking.

I see Zach making it in to the Dolphins Ring of Honor but not the HoF. And if Chris Carter went into the HoF it would be as a Viking, not an Eagle.

Kuechenberg should of been in already. I think alot of the voters are idiots. How someone like Cris Carter is not a 1st ballot, is crazy. There are others who belong in there, but keep getting looked over.

I would hope that Zach makes it in, I think he more than deserves it and has all the stats to go with it. He was a dominate MLB for a decade, dont know what else you could ask for. When a player is one of the very best at his positions for that long, he should get in.

Taylor should make it in as well. He has the stats, pro bowls, mvp, etc, to get in.

Seems that players who arent in the playoffs year after year, get overlooked. Too bad that all the guys who deserve to get in, that played for average to less than average teams, arent already in.

Zach has a chance but it may be way down the line. Taylor will get in quickly. Unfortunately, Kuechenberg won't make it with the way it has gone there.

Bob Kuechenberg should of been elected by now, and its a shame the HOF committee has boned him as many times as they have already.

Some day, Dick Anderson will get in as a senior nominee. 1973 DPOY, 1970s All-Decade Team, 4 Pro Bowls, 2 Championships with an undefeated seson ... has has got to be seriously considered someday. Hopfully Jake Scott will get in someday to.

Richmond Webb has a strong case for the HOF with 7 straight Pro Bowls, and a 1990s All-Decade Team selection ... he was one of the best at his position during his time in football, but hell be made to wait a while.

Both ZT and JT have strong cases for the Hall of Fame ... both are 2000s All-Decade Team Selection, ZT went to 7 Pro Bowls with 5 1st-Team All Pros, and along with Lewis and Urlacher, was one of the best at his position during his time in football. JT has 6 Pro Bowls, currently 8th all-time in sacks, 2006 DPOY, and holds numerous records for a d-lineman (NFL Record: 8 Defensive TDs). JT is possibly a first ballot HOFer, but ZT I think will wait a while.

Zach Thomas is my second favorite Dolphin of all time. He's one of my favorite people of all time. He's not a HOF'er. Zach didn't have the ability to change games. He didn't impact games the way a Ray Lewis or a Brian Urlacher do. Tackles is a misleading stat. How many of those tackles were made downfield after a guy already picked up 20 yards? Zach was a good player. He was not an all-time great player. The Hall of Fame is for all-time great players.

Im willing to bet that a very small minority of Zach's tackles were 20 yards downfield. Tackles is no more misleading than any other stat. Zach had impact ability, people just dont see a timely tackle stopping a runner for no gain in the same light as a sack or an interception. I personally think sacks is the most overrated stat in all of football since alot of things lead to a sack and many players that are great pass rushers are horrible against the run. Zach was a great player. not sure if he makes hall though.
