The Kid is progressing nicely this year. Make no mistake...he is our franchise quarterback and will be here for another decade so lets get down to brass tacks. Tanny needs to develop his touch on the deep ball and this will come in time. In my humble opinion there is one skill that he can start to make serious progress on immediately and that is evading the pass rush. This kid has excellent athleticism and he needs to have better recognition of his position in the pocket relative to the pass rush and then just make a move man. Like Tony Montana said to Sosa..."make a move" He needs to recognize the rush 1 second quicker and then make a quick evasive move and put those legs into action. I can't stand Tony Romo, but if Tanny could learn a couple of Romo's evasive moves, I think he would eliminate half his sacks/hurries and badabing we are talking potential top 5 quarterback territory in the NFL.

The next step is to get a wide receiver he has chemistry with.
One with speed AND size.
One with good hands and who is willing to use them
One who will use his body to fight for contested balls and lay-out for them when necessary.
One who couldn't get knocked off his route by my sister.

Oh, and we also need a playmaking tight end that can stay healthy.

Another thing will be giving him more power at the line of scrimmage. As the offense becomes second nature that will open up time for him to see other things and make adjustments. That could help with all sorts of things, including deep ball opportunities. Its good to know there are so many ways for him to still improve, as good as he is now.

By the way, i always thought it was "brass tax" - thanks for clearing that up for me.

This.

Closing out the final offensive drive and not giving the other team the ball back when we are up.

He's progressing, want to see more fire, more holding people responsible, and get some deep throws in. I like his growth so far.

If he's going to live by short passes he needs to learn ball placement. He has gotten better, but dink and dunk passing you must be a technician and get the ball where the receivers have a chance to make YAC.

I still say he has to air it our a few times a game even if it's not complete get the DB's out of the box.

lol, the overreaction to Tannehill's deep pass is ridiculous. It's painfully obvious that the main problem is the timing of Tannehill and Wallace. Tannehill doesn't lack the arm strength, so we know he can get the ball where it needs to be. evidence by the 50 yard bomb he threw to Wallace, in stride. Get a big WR that is consistant on his deep routes, and there will be no issues.

His next step is to become a cold blooded killer in crunch time. If RT can do that he will be elite and we will be looking at a Superbowl.

If only we could get a WR like Brandon Marshall. That would be sick.

This!

And a better O-line that can provide a consistent run game.
