Depending on the draft picks, the Dolphins (even though we finished with a losing record this year) will bring it on and win a playoff position next year. Henne will work his azz off this off season and so will the rookies. What I am worried about, to be honest, is if the Big Tuna will stay or go. We need that guy for certain. I believe in this team through the best and worse of times. Go Dolphins!!

I agree. While they played terribly in the first half, I still like the way our team is heading.

Really in the end all this season showed is how bad injuries hurt your team in the long run.

We will be the team to beat in AFC East next year, after that the team to beat in the AFC
We are getting close! 1 more draft, some Free agency/trades and experience!

The wheels have just come off. And what can you expect from a team like Miami? Many thought Miami had no business even being mentioned with the word "playoff" in the same sentence. Miami has been killed by injuries and had had a brutal schedule. They fight in every game, and never quit. 2 weeks in a row we have mounted a comeback and fallen a little short... With more experience, and a couple more playmakers we won't fall short. More importantly, we won't even be in that position.

Yes, and all the other teams in the nfl will do nothing to get better. They will not work hard, or draft players, or sign players in free agency. Get real, nothing is guarenteed from year to year in the nfl.

We finished with a losing record? Does Miami have a bye next week or something? They can still finish 8-8. When did 7-8 guarantee a losing record?

The worse thing that could happen is no CBA is reached which will all but eliminate finding a decent WR. They have a lot of holes to fill on defense. Don't pencil this team in yet as the AFC East Champs. They have a long way to go.

You'd like to hope the team will be good next year. I think they will be but of course it's never a guarantee.

Being at 500 (to me) is not a winning record.
8-8 is not a winning record, nor is it a losing record. It means you won half your games and you lost the other half. It shows that the team has upside for the following year.

Every team is going into the off season looking to improve and get better.

Not just the Dolphins.

without a new CBA agreement, Miami will be extremely hampered in improving the team via F/A; which will make the draft even more important in 2010 ... to be honest; missed tackles and the young secondary were directly linked to at least 2 of the losses this season ... several missed tackles lead directly to TD's and the inexperience of the young CB's hurt the team in pass defense ... IF these 2 problems can be corrected over the off season, IMO Miami is at least 2 games better than 2009 ... finding ILB's who can cover TE's will also help keep the defense off the field ... but overall, the team is moving in the right direction, IF improvements can be made in the areas I mentioned above!!! too many missed tackles killed the season!!!

The Jets are going to be a good team and the Pat are the Pats, so not so fast, every year we say the same thing next year, ask Marino.

Is always about next year with the Dolphins, well I'm getting old and would love to see a SB now not after I'm gone.
