well they did interview othere people including finheaven favorite chud. lets not forget we wanted to interview mularkey but of course he sucks. theyt interviewed mularkey for 7 hours stepped out of room and came back offering him the job of head coach. hell easy to criticize that hire i guess but we are still reeling from being turned down and nobody we have on list is clearly better than mularkey

since you love Malarkuy so much, it'll be interesting to see how much further Matty Ice melts w/o him, eh?

Vic Fangio should be interviewed before we make a selection. I would put him right up there with Zimmer.

definately not as far as Moore did when he was made the starter in carolina thats for sure. I dont love mularkey I just think outside of Zimmer he was the most qualified canidate.Obviously he is well respected in league circles being that he got three interviews . The jags must have liked his interview alot because they signed him at end of interview.

i'm not so worried about scouting the senior bowl, i'm sure ireland and his scouts are hard at work whether we like him or not. Our situation is so much different than other teams, were trying hard to plug a coach in rather than let a coach install everything he wants, which means it's that much harder to find a good fit. My vote is for chudzinsky, but clearly the F.O doesn't think he's the right candidate, I wonder why he's hasn't been picked up yet? did everything you'd want in carolina. running the 2 tight end set which is blowing up this year. mobile QB. utilized a passing game with really just one big name receiver. two headed runningback tandem. sounds exactly like the direction we want to go offensively. but maybe that more personnel and less chudzinsky?

Scout the senior bowl? Well will send two scouts one for the oline and one for the dline. All covered!

I think they should have a list of 3,4 maybe 5 people, no more.....interview them then give 2nd interviews to 2 maybe 3 and then make a choice, i dont think you gain anything by interviewing 10 people except wasting everyone's time. They need to do their homework, find the guy who fits the description of what qualities they think a HC should have to coach the players and system they have on the team and the players the GM plans on bringing to the team this offseason.....

It seems to me Ross wanted Fisher and felt he would get him by throwing all types of money at him, this crap about final say is BS.....he doesnt have that with the Rams.....

At this point I am hoping they luck into a good hire.......

Actually when Moore was "made the starter" he went 4-1 beating several teams that made it far into the playoffs. If you're talking about the next season when he went 1-4, (winning half Carolina's games that season while his successors went 1-10) for the worst team in the league with a lame duck HC who didn't give a crap, he got concussed in the first game and sat out the next 2. Be interesting to see how Ice just how effectively Ice would bounce back from something like that ya think?

But now getting back to Mularkey, he got 3 interviews eh? Well how about this? 2 days after Denver went down, we've already interviewed Mike McCoy and at the least, Oakland has requested permission to interview him. So that would mean by your standards that one more interview makes him at the very least as good as Mularkey, or maybe even better judging by how fast teams are jumping on the chance to interview him. You'd agree, right?

actually he sat out the next 3 games and still was crap by the 8th game when he got replaced. So he only played in the first half of the year so lame duck never entered into the equation. The team played bad and Moore played bad . Moore played good this year so we shall see what he does next year.

Back to his concussion excuse. He had a concussion and was cleared to play his next game just like this year before the buffalo game then was replaced in the second game during a horrible showing versus the bucs and did not play again until the chicago game. He lost his job versus New Orleans when he mustered no offense . So his concussion that he was still cleared to play in next game was sept 12 and he was still playing crappy because of that on november 7th, I just dont buy that. Cam Newton which much the same offense played much better than Moore so I also dont buy the talent excuse. Now I dont discount that Moore played well this year and is worth keeping to compete to be our starter next year but he is in no way shape or form as good a qb as Matt Ryan no matter how you may try to portray him.

As for McCoy getting more interviews does legitmize him more as a canidate although I have seen no accomplishment from him that I think warrents any look at head coach yet.
I personally dont think outside of a green bay assisstant no respectable canidate is going to even look at Oakland jobs based on how dysfuntional they appear right now esp hiring Hue Jackson

Lets take a look at Bret Bielema. He will exceed the young Shula expectations. He will win multiple superbowls. He gets his teams to buy in and win. He gets them to whatever he wants. And i mean WHATEVER. He gets them all sorts of stoked and fired up in the locker room. The players would do anything for him. And I mean ANYTHING. they would sweat and bleed for him. They would do anything to win for a coach like him. Let's change the culture. Lets get a coach who can essentially mind control the players into doing stuff to win.
