NFL and NFLPA to negotiate for 7 straight days

Either way, Peter King is going to be dead wrong with his prediction. Something is going to get done before Labor Day. Of course, the players should have actually elected a former player to head their union (Troy Vincent) instead of an angry, militant, Washington D.C. lawyer.

A lot of this falls back on Tagliabue for pimping the current deal on his way out the door. It moved the needle too far, too fast, and the owners have been chomping at the bit to reverse things ever since. The union starts preparing for war... and it's on.

10 to 1 that during the first day of negotiations the owners get pissy at the "audacity" of the players and walk out for the rest of the week, but not before throwing insults at Peyton Manning again(which im all for).

What do you the odds are the Owners walk out after the first hour again?

 Exactly what I was gonna say.

I would imagine not only in Miami are season ticket holders not mailing squat in for next season. Anyone who does is stupid.

I hope there will be a season and a agreement soon. Im excited to see how are offseason plays out and with out a new CBA then no free agency.

I read the owners get paid the TV revenues whether there is ball or not - they have a grip with their TV contracts paying them - if this is true - the players are in a rock and a hard place on this one.

Like it or not the owners are in serious control - the players best not piss them off too much...

Cromartie was honest when he said let me play - he has a lot of child support to come up with - listening to other former players like Collingsworth said the players don't save they spend spend spend and they will come crawling back, the owners certainly know this - this is true in life many of us are financially over-extended

They already do it anyways but the players will be swinging the cup soon - pimping a poem, song or their worthless autograph at any Mall or Piggly Wiggly that will have them...

I think that the arbitration move is a good idea. Get someone who has no personal stake in the middle to find the common ground that both sides can agree on like rookie salaries. Get them to agree on that and then move on to the next easiest area. This way they try to get some positive momentum right up front and save the really hardest sticking points to last when they have agreed on 90% of everything else.

George Cohen has been a pain in the *** in to the owners of all sports in this country. He's represented MLB and NHL as well. So it's no wonder they went to him. The guy has been part of every strike/lockout in recent history.

The whole thing makes me want to puke!!!! They are talking about 9 BILLION DOLLARS!!!! Are F**ING KIDING ME! They all should look around the world and look at whats happining! IMO both sides should be ashamed!
