He's going to be in the running for DroY.
I certainly have high hopes for the kid, but my enthusiasm is tempered. I have seen too many players flop that were supposed to be the second coming, most recently Dion Jordan. Even though we had to be move up to get him, I thought that was a slam dunk. If that move had worked out, I do not think the team would be in as bad shape as it is today. You just never know. I'd say there is a 98% chance that Minka becomes an All-Pro and a All world player, but there is always that feeling that something is going to go wrong and the rails are going to come off.

Bucky Brooks taking risks and breaking boundaries with that list... In all seriousness I can't wait to see Fitzpatrick and the effect he has on the defense as a whole.

That team of rookies could beat a lot of the teams in the NFL right now

Gesicki will have a better year then Goedert. For the simple reason that goedert isn't even the starter. Here Gesicki will get more targets

I imagine everyone's gonna look a lot less noticeable with him

EDIR: secondary wise

Even before he plays a down in Training Camp/Preseason or even a real NFL game?

Yes...Minkah is the 3rd player in history to win both the Jim Thorpe award(nations best defensive back)...and the Chuck Bendarik award (nations best overall defensive player...in the same year...the other two were named Charles Woodson and Patrick Peterson.

And....Nick Saban called him his greatest player ever...he’s actually called “Nick Saban’s son”....and was so good he was given the responsibility of being the man from the beginning with Saban.

So...I’d say that’s a pedigree Derwin James, and few can ever equal...he can’t-miss.

Wow, Bucky put quite a bit of thought into this.

I wonder who'll have more success, the guy with ZACK ******* ERTZ on the team, or the guy with basically NO ONE at TE, with a QB who just lost his safety blanket.

You can’t compare anything about Dion Jordan and Minkah Fitzpatrick, the only thing they have in common is being drafted by the Miami Dolphins.

One has a work ethic that rivals Zach Thomas and the other had a no work ethic.
