Don't know if this was already posted, but go to the middle of the page. If we don't resign wes, I will still be a huge fan, but I will be extremely upset. He is vital to our organization.

He IS our team so far this year. Interesting stats too.

At this pace, Welker's going to have almost 1000 yards receiving this season. Not bad for a pickup off of San Diego's garbage pile. We must re-sign him. Considering he's our 3rd WR, that's not too shabby.

We MUST re-sign him and it says Miami has called around for a Safety. thats pretty bad if Allen isn't still playing while we are searching. I am very disapointed so far.

I doubt we're looking for a Safety. Our secondary is pretty well-stocked, and will improve even more so when Allen starts later this season. I would hope that we're looking for offensive linemen.

I would not doubt we're looking for a safety. Travares Tillman has been a big disappointment so far this year and I think Saban has just made it clear that he does not want to start Jason Allen as a rookie.

If anything, the fact that we're looking for a safety is a much poorer reflection on Yeremiah Bell than Jason Allen. Bell is getting in on plays in rotation but only as a very specialized role player (blitzer), and despite Tillman's miscues Bell can't crack the starting lineup in his place.

Wes is my favorite player. Awesome passion and fire for the game and strength for such a small guy.

Wes is my favorite Fin, no doubt. More heart and fire than anyone on the team except maybe ZT & JT. I've been saying it for a long time, Wes is our version of Wayne Chrebet, and will someday be in the Pro Bowl, I just hope it's as a Fin.

Classic read, undrafted Welker gets his stats propped on NFL.com against NO's 2nd overall, eclipsing USC boy wonder!

Clark Kent?

Wes is the man. He can do it all. I wasn't expecting a Reggie Bush comparison but I agree based on their stats!

I have no doubt that Saban will resign this guy, Welker has the heart of a champion and plays like one.

...and to think how many fans on this site wanted Welker to be released so Hagan and Vick could start!

Welker was an exciting player his first year here, and has done nothing but improve. I wish everyone on this team showed that kind of improvement year after year.

Man are we unlucky or what? When we draft #2 overall we get Ronnie. When the Saints draft #2 overall they get Reggie Bush. Is that bad timing or what?

lol
