Since last season NFL.com gathered writers and broadcasters from around the country to play GM for the teams they cover on a daily basis.This is how NFL.com Experts' mock draft goes as today (19-April-2009).

In our case, Miami Herald sportswriter Jeff Darlington will participate in this mock draft.

I understand it's questionable as some picks looks pretty unlikely.
But as any scenario is possible, given these situation, who is your pick?

Wow that would be interesting. I would think if this is the way it played out there would be a big debate in our war room. Butler, Nicks, E. Brown, Pettigrew all on the board and you can make an argument for each one. I would say that all the CB's left have roughly the same grade, Butler may be the highest, but I bet it is not much higher than thr other CB's. Nicks the same thing. Brown I would imagine may have their highest grade of the hybrid OLB / DE but this draft is deep in that position. TE may not be considered as much of a need, but I would not be shocked if it was Pettigrew and we would then attempt to trade D. Martin for later round picks.
If they could not trade back a few spots, my pick would probably be Pettigrew.

Everette Brown, best pass rusher in the whole draft. But I'd seriously be suprised if he slipped that far.
 
Wow if Vontae Davis makes it that close to us and we don't get him, that'd be frustrating.

Do you want a LB or do you want a guy who looks like a smallish DE type (Everette Brown)

Aaron Maybin still on the board. Wow! This mock gets me thinking this is the type of draft this ends up being.

Damn I want to know what our board looks like!

Yes, just think that Josh freeman could be above some of the available men.

Also there could be some atypical sizing as this situation means a big demand for OT & DE, with several good CB available later.

yeah ya know, I take my Maybin pick back. Brown I would imagine would be up from here on our board and they would take the value and take him in a hurry.

Here is the thing for me though. Are we looking for a small DE who this guy reminds me of the guy from Syracuse playing for Indy or do we want a OLB who mainly rushes the passer but can cover in the passing game?

That is the $100,000 Miami Dolphin Question to me.
 
do not see any of them dropping but would take maybin, or brown. lets say they are taken. i would take sean smith we really need a corner
