NFL.com grades us a B

Every talking head on ESPN and the NFLN always wants to give out grades on who did the best/worst, but nobody can really give any teams a grade until about 3-4 years from now when you can really see whether these guys were a success or a bust.

But I still have to laugh at the Jaguars for taking that Punter when they did.

I'd give an A if I liked Tannehill at 8 a little more. Loved everything else.

I don't really care about the subjective opinions of any of these basement bloggers, media favored-team slurpers, quasi-literate axe-grinders or disgraces to the path forged by pioneers like Grantland Rice. Really.

And that's all the more true considering that when in doubt, we have the insight and wisdom of our own member armchair, remote-toting GMs to fall back on.

They may not have taken the players we wanted but they did address our needs. Something feels differant this year. Maybe the new coach. Maybe Ireland has finally figured it out post Parcells. Seems like they have a plan and are doing what it takes to win. i know i'm a homer and always support the team but it feels differant to me this year.

i think the first few picks were pretty nice!there will be some players picked up to fill other needs before the season starts

agreed it feels different... we are finally taking some chances on guys...

i much prefer this way... we mix in some chances on guys like vernon and tanny, and mix it with some safe picks like martin.

i like this approach.. for once I have nothing negative to say... it's been awhile.

All true. Just posted this grade because one of those in house GM's graded it an F. Ask again in three years and I'll tell you how good the draft was.

That's it. Not all SAFE picks if there is such a thing.

The NFL Network gave us a C, the Jets a B, and the Pats and Bills an A.

Dunno about the Jets, Pats, and Bills, but the C grade seems fair. Unless one of those receivers turns into Antonio Brown or Victor Cruz, drafting WRs in the 6th and 7th rounds is way too late for such a pressing need. I would have given it a C-/D+ for that and high-bust-potential Tannehill.
