If you could have any WR besides Amari Cooper at our pick - who do you take?

NFL.com mock has us taking Devante Parker, WR, Louisville...any attempt at trying to bring in a big physical type WR I'm all for.

But if given the opportunity to have any WR besides Amari Cooper, (of course, he will surely be gone by our pick) who do you take? - is this the selection you would make? Or would you take someone else?

I'm going to watch film on the top 3 prospects before I vote myself.

*UPDATE* Well to me there is only one WR of all the 1st rounders that I would want and that is Kevin White. Hes a freak and I like how he plays the game. It just looks like he would compliment Jarvis Landrys toughness and passion. Hes a big body...makes crazy catches in traffic. I'm not sold on the other guys.

As for the article - I don't really care for Parker at all. How are people saying hes better than White? Based on the videos I've watched...his routes are really sloppy and hes slow.

I'd be OK with Cooper or White at 14, but, as I've said, I'd prefer to go D. I wouldn't be OK with Parker or Coates at 14.

I love Parker. He's the type of receiver who would be a great fit with Tannehill.

So much is going to depend on what happens with Wallace. My gut tells me that he is not back with Miami next year. Honestly, the offseason would be so much easier for the Dolphins if they kept Wallace, but that has to factor in big time.

Thats the biggest decision they have to make. I can see both sides but from a football side it just sucks to let him go. We don't know exactly who will be available…but based on who I think actually hits FA theres just no viable replacement for him. If they cut Wallace though they better make damn good use of that money filling other needs with good players because they are going to need to draft at least one and probably 2 WRs in the first 3-4 rounds.

I would be very happy with Parker at 14. Shocked , but happy.

One of the big 3 wrs should fall to us. There just not good enough for all 3 to be drafted high imo. Compare those 3 to watkins, odell, evans last year, its not even close.

But its such an ugly draft I really don't know what to expect. There's really no consesus of who the best guys are at any position. Not to many players really stand out from the rest.

I'd like Kevin White or Shaq Thompson with the first pick. I am ok with Parker but would prefer White.

Cleveland will take White if not taken before.

If WR is the position then I wouldnt mind trading down and taking Jaelen Strong.

Devin Smith if I had to go with a RD1 receiver, but I think the team should go DT at 14. There is always value in the second round with receivers.

I like the conviction. I think he's being a bit underrated around here just because people want that "big" receiver. He's more than just a deep threat as well. I wouldn't take him at 14…I don't think he's as polished at other routes as some of the others but I can see some Odel to his game.

I do like Smith as well... good upside and I think he does run routes quite well with good footwork and gets in and out of his breaks well... needs work though still.

but my question is, do you really think he is a round one prospect? where is he stated to go off the board basically???

What do you guys like about smelter so much? I'm not really seeing much tbh. Nothing really stands out to me about him, what am I missing?

He's about 6'2 222, best RAC ability in the class, has the speed to score from anywhere on the field, had two of his best games against two of the best pass d's he played (UVA, VTech), competes at a very high level as a receiver and as a blocker, uses he speed and size to create separation down field. He's big, fast, strong, and he's instinctive in using those traits when he plays.

You want a guy that can go up and get the football?:

Need a guy to make a big catch over the middle, on 4th and 15, down 7 with 2:37 left in the game?

On 38 touches this season, he put up 8 TD's (one TD every 4.75 touches) and 818 yards (21.52). I don't remember if it was Virginia or Virginia Tech, but he also had a nasty pancake block on a Safety. Like Landry, he'd be an asset as a run blocker. Smelter is much further along than Demaryius Thomas was leaving Georgia Tech. I've heard more than one Georgia Tech fan say that Smelter is better than Bay Bay was. I don't think Smelter is quite as athletic, but he may be, and he moves in a very similar way. He's exactly what Tannehill and this offense needs. The ACL sucks, but it doesn't sound like something that will hurt his career.
