NFL.com Power Ranking

Bills are much better than that ranking, qb controversy aside

Seems fair for all the AFC East teams. I have seen a few power rankings today and the only complaint I have about any of them(though the NFL.com one got it right) were the ones that had the Patriots ahead of the Dolphins. There is no reason any power ranking today should have the Patriots above Miami. Now, I would buy Buffalo ranked ahead because they did beat us, but there is no reason New England should be anything higher than third in the division.

If bellichik was going to keep winning now, why did he spend 2 second round picks (Mallet and Garrapolo unless garappalo went later) on qbs? Let Mankins go for a backup tight end, and let welker walk to prove a point?

Brady is done. he has always struggled with any kind of pressure. I used to get so mad watching him stand back there forever. They haven't won **** when it has been about Brady not in spite of him.

Mallet was a 3rd round pick but it looks like he might not be as good as everyone around here thinks. Some wanted us to trade for him and he can't even beat out Fitzpatrick in Houston.

When he let Welker walk (surprisingly after Brady took a pay cut so they could keep him) the media said it was a smart move cause Welker isn't that good and they signed Danny Amendola who's essentially the same player...media was wrong...surprise. Basically, up until this year and the Mankins trade, no one questioned Belichick as a personnel man...and they made excuses as to why the moves were "smart" or benefitted the Patriots more than teams they traded with.

I don't care if you have an elite QB or not...you miss in the draft it will come back and bite you hard. Patriots have gotten by with free agents and trades...the draft picks are some of the worst in the league. It was last year or the year before I posted a look at how each team has done in the draft over a 5 year period (my own research) and the Pats had a failure rate of over 50%...that's not 50% of their guys didn't make the team...that's over 50% of the guys they drafted were out of the NFL over a 5 year period...not even Jeff Ireland was that bad.

come on guys...just give geno time

Speaking completely with the Jets best interests in mind, I think they oughtta give Geno at least as much time as they gave Sanchez.

And hopefully Junc and the like can prop up Geno as well as they did Sanchez, lol.

We could be in for another 4 years of Jet mediocrity, if so.

But speaking with the Jets best interests in mind, that's a good place to be, lol.

Yeah,

The Pats glory days are over.

Now to see if they will do Brady like they did Bledsoe and bench him for Garappolo (spelling?)

Pats fans and the talking heads are talking about Billicheat got too cute for his own good this offseason. He kept thinking all he needed was Brady, his playbook and a bunch of scrubs to keep the dynasty rolling.

Brady has lost his touch and quickly his mental game as well. Guy looks panicked every play, he has ZERO trust in his O-line. Big Bad Gronk looks nothing like his old self and is getting tripple teamed every play.

Teams have quickly figure out that Brady only trusts two players, Gronk and Edelman and adjust the scheme.

Brady needs O support at the end of his career, the days of him carrying a team of grocery bag boys are over.

No no no.
I want him continue to slide. I want him to play this whole season and have a miserable season. Then in the offseason I want that 'jerk' Kraft to dump him. Trade him. Cut him. Off to the Raiders.
:chuckle:

I always maintained that Brady is a system QB. The success of the Patriots was build on and around their OL. The time Brady had in the pocket throughout the years is almost absurd. Add the threat of a running game. If Brady would have played on any other team I doubt he would have had the same success. Of course I don't have proof of that. The closest thing I got is Matt Cassel.
In 2008 he took a team build for Brady to an 11-5 record. Everybody thought he will be the apparent heir to Brady. But as soon as he was put behind an average OL in KC he failed. In 2010 KC had a much better OL and he excelled again. Since then? Nada.

Playing behind a stout OL makes every QB look like a 'Brady'. (unless your QB is named Geno Smith  )

How is that even possible.... We beat the raiders... Patriots beat themselves! And we didn't stand a chance against the bills.

Because the Bills dont stand a chance against the rest of the league - they are built to play us only it seems
The Patsies did not beat themselves, they got whooped royally
We match up well against other teams in the league and have an arrow pointing up with players getting healthy

Thats how it can be

Brady created a lot of time with his footwork and ability to feel the rush, his awareness in his prime was perhaps the best ever. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are the two best QB's of this generation and it's not even close. I know he played for a rival and there's a lot of bias against him, but to say he was a system QB is a terribly misguided statement.

New England is bleeding profusely, Buffalo is stuck in neutral, and the Jets are the Jets. This division is there for the taking.
