Nfl.com Video: Adam Gase Is "one Of The Guys" While Belichick Is "like A Principal"

It would be weird to be a principle when you're only a couple years older than our more senior players. I think i saw somewhere we have the most 35+ year old players in the NFL? I know we have one of the most 30+ year olds of any team.

Team age is one of the most overblown stats ever. The difference from the fourth oldest team to the fourth youngest team is usually about a year, if memory serves,

The outliers are usually the teams who are rebuilding.

He like Landry needs to juat focus on their current team.

Miami has three players 35 or older and one of them is the long snapper Denny. So I would really only count Wake and Gore. We have a total of 10 players 30 or older, same as the Patriots. The Jets only have 3 30 or older players while the Bills have 12.

Gase walks the fine line of the players buddy and their leader. It’s a delicate thing and personally I wish he was a bit more businesslike ala Mile Tomlin yet still have a good rapport with his team and have their respect.

I’m not sure everyone respects him especially when things go badly.

Mostly agree but I also think he will improve in this aspect as he gains more experience. He is still quite raw as a HC imo and Im glad that there is potential to improve

Probably should highlight the fact that Danny Amendola is the one that said this, makes it slightly more interesting.

I don't want him to be one of the guys. I want him to make the team win. Don't give a donkey dump about him being beloved or hated just want the team to win.

This is one of those things that's great if we're winning and a negative if we're losing. Aka - it's secondary to the results by a wide margin.

Highlighted by the fact that Gase's personality is being contrasted to Bellichek's, and I'm sue we would all do cartwheels if Gase could have half the success Bellichek has had.

Personally, I think it's cool that Gase can have these kind of relationships with his players...but I'm more concerned about performance than personality.

A few years ago a lot of people around here talked about wanting a coach that was a “leader of men” and a “man’s man”. Looks like we got our wish.

I was definetly one that wanted a "leader of men". I am fully on the Gase bandwagon.
