The verbiage of "embrace the moment" seems like a stretch though. What are they "embracing"? A clown show? Lip service to avoid negative PR? Past failures?
They have had the Rooney rule in place since 2003 and that really hasn’t done much to change the hiring practices of NFL owners. So I doubt that a memo from Goodell or a lawsuit by Flores is going to change the hiring practices now.
