Laremy Tunsil, OL, Miami Dolphins
Pick: 1st Round No. 13 overall
Bust-O-Meter: 4.2 out of 5
At one point in the draft process Laremy Tunsil was seen as the likely No. 1 overall pick. His combination of athleticism, size and length gave him the ideal traits needed to be a franchise left tackle. The fact that the Tennessee Titans, who at one point held the top pick, needed offensive line help put Tunsil on their radar.
Even after the Titans traded out of the No. 1 spot many felt that Tunsil wouldn’t get past the 6[SUP]th[/SUP] pick. Then on draft day a video surfaced showing Tunsil partaking in some illegal activity that involved a gas mask.
This caused him to slide all the way down to the 13[SUP]th[/SUP] pick and land in the laps of the Miami Dolphins.
It’s obvious that the character concerns that come with that video are the biggest bust factor for Tunsil. We’ve seen a ton of high-profile players struggle with drug use which led to lengthy suspensions.
However, there is a recent report that now raises an injury red flag for Tunsil. Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole has reported that Tunsil has a pre-arthritic ankle condition that Cole says some feel “is worse than the knee condition that caused Myles Jack to fall to the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] round”.
These are two significant red flags that don’t bode well for Tunsil’s future. It makes it easy to see why he lands so high on the Bust-O-Meter.

Aaahhhhhhhhhhh...............it has retuned..........the usual dump on every thing Miami off-season.............I really missed it. I thought I had returned to the 80's for a moment but alas I am reminded of my place in time.

Yup, all the decision makers are blithering idiots until we win some games. Then they become instantly smart.

This was touched on a few weeks ago (Jason Cole's talking about Tunsil's apparent injury). Anytime a dude is live on air giving his opinion while taking a dump you just have to listen.

Cole's report broke over a month ago and was widely disputed to the point that his credibility was scrutinized at the national level. Not sure why this is being dredged up again.

Probably because it's just another site with fans acting like journalists

You click on a story with "Bust-O-Meter" in the title and you're gonna get what you deserve. Clickbaity **** is clickbaity and ****.

If Zach martin can play LT in college and switch to RG in the NFL, Tunsil should be able to play LG.

martin was never miscast...his ideal slot was always guard...due to arm length more than anything else

I don't see it as the same thing...

I'm not saying the kid will bust but one good way to bust is to draft a guy and ask him to do something he wasn't graded out as a top worthy pick for in the first place or miscast him in the process...

tunsil is a top shelf left tackle prospect masquerading as a guard martin was a college left tackle graded top shelf guard prospect

Jon Dove? Isn't this the same asshole who recently wrote the article "How I learned to walk slowly while chewing gum" ?

We shall see, better prospects than Tunsil have been busts.
