So I was wondering.

These NFL Europe success stories like Warner and Delhomme...how quickly after their last seasons in Europe did they make an impact in the NFL?

I ask this, obviously, because of Brock Berlin but also because of Drew Henson.

For some reason I think that one of these guys, if not both, will tear up the league and it should make for one of the better European seasons.

But on a selfish note, I want Brock Berlin and his fire and comeback ability to materialize into someone who can make an impact in either league.

Hopefully he'll make enough of a splash overseas to get, at least, a shot with us.

So how long after Jake's and Kurt's last seasons did they get their shots at starting? And for kicks, how good were those seasons they experienced overseas?

If this is the wrong forum, or if this has been said a million times, I'm sorry. Just don't freeze my posting abilities for a month like last time please.

ok, I'm not saying this to sound like a prick...

Brock Berlin got cut by Nick Saban (yes, the same Nick Saban that tuned this team around).

he.is.not.that.good.

Brock Berlin got resigned by Nick Saban(yes, the same Nick Saban that *turned* this team around)

If he resigned him he must have seen something. wouldn't you think?

Kurt Warner

NFL Europe 1998: Started all 10 games for the Amsterdam Admirals. Led league in passing yards (2,101), attempts (326), completions (165) and touchdowns (15).

1998: Saw 1st career action in the 4th quarter of Rams’ final game vs. San Francisco (12/27). Completed 4 of 11 passes for 39 yards. Assumed the backup role behind Steve Bono for the final 2 games after a season-ending knee injury suffered by Tony Banks vs. New England (12/13). Did not play at Carolina (12/20). Inactive as 3rd quarterback for first 14 games.

1999: Started all 16 regular season and 3 postseason games while producing one of the most memorable and improbable stories in NFL history. Was named the league’s Most Valuable Player and Super Bowl MVP while leading Rams to their first championship since 1951. Earned first Pro Bowl invitation. Rewrote Rams' single-season passing records by completing 325 of 499 passes for 4,353 yards, 41 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. His passer rating of 109.2 was the 5th-highest in NFL history. Led NFL in touchdown passes, completion percentage (65.1), third down passer rating (137.3), fourth quarter passer rating (116.0), and was 2nd in the league in passing yards. Set 8 team records: quarterback rating, passing yards, completions, completion percentage/season, completion percentage/game (86.9), most games with 300 passing yards in a season (9), most consecutive 300 yard passing games (4), and most touchdown passes in a season, while tying record for most touchdown passes in a game (5) and tying NFL record for most 300 yards passing games in a season (since passed by Oakland’s Rich Gannon in 2002). Threw more touchdown passes in first 4 starts (14) than any player in NFL history, throwing 3 touchdown passes in opening victories vs. Baltimore (9/12), Atlanta (9/26), and at Cincinnati (10/3) and throwing career-high 5 scoring passes in win vs. San Francisco (10/10). Threw for more passing yards (1,217) in 1st 4 starts than any player in NFL history.

Problem nowadays is that they switch QBs all the time, they have 2 QBs play in a game just so as many NFL QBs gain experience as possible. That really hurts the game and as I think the development of them. I mean if the QB is the general of the game, would you switch generals in the battle?

Delhomme: 1999 NFLE
Allocated to the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe by New Orleans...Led Galaxy to a World Bowl Championship and ranked second in the League with a 96.8 passer rating...Completed 67.3 of his pass attempts on 136-of-202 passing for 1,410 yards and 12 touchdowns with five interceptions...Added 21 rushes for 126 yards...Recorded one of the four 300-yard passing games registered in the League during the 1999 campaign, throwing for 316 yards on 30 completions against the Rhein Fire...Completed nine-of-14 passes for 126 yards and one touchdown against the Barcelona Dragons in the World Bowl.

2003: Super Bowl

I Definitely think that Brock Berlin can have a far better year, statistically, than either of those guy's final NFLE seasons.

I also don't think it hurts that he threw 40 touchdowns to a receiver on his team that he played in highschool with.

not really..you need x amount of qbs for training camp..i think he's hopeing he will be able to be a 3rd string qb at most
