I wanted to pass along somethings that were on NFL Insiders. Mort, Schefter and Polian were the insiders.

* Polian thought that the situation was at its end.
* Mort did not agree and said upon being fired O'Neil said, "contact my lawyer".
* Polian, however, chimed in and said that it is typical to have ligation after firings like this
* Mort mentioned that O'Neil thinks the Wells report does not represent what actually happened.
* Schefter mentioned the line and that there were thoughts of Miami trying to move up in the draft to land an OT. The team will draft early and often to help up front.
* Polian stated that free agency would be used to fill holes up front.

Not sure if you find this interesting, but I figured I push this along.

Its better to draft than pay high free agents! Especially where line is concerned. That way they can spend more on an impact free agent elsewhere like say a Good RB!

The line needs to made up of both draft picks and FA's.

Sounds like they dont know a thing and are common sense guessing lol

I'm not sure I draft a LT. I know what Albert is, I cannot predict how a drafted LT will be in the NFL. If Albert is top talent and he can help immidiately, then pull the trigger, aint my money.

It's easy.
Sign a OT, Draft a OT
Sign a G, Draft a G
Bring in Vets for depth on cheap contracts

I hate giving up picks to move up.

in this draft you are not getting an Oakland deal like last yr.

It depends. We need quality over quantity. I do not like giving up future firsts though as they can bite you in the ass.

Again though, having a proven NFL OL coach will help. Not saying all of our struggles were on Jim Turner's coaching, BUT going from a mediocre college team (which A&M was under Sherman) to coaching a pro unit is a big step. It's one thing to go from a dominant college team to the pros, but that's not what Turner did (he was actually going to go to Texas Tech before we came calling)

As crazy as it sounds...... If we move up I would not want to draft a LT. I would rather stay right where we are to do that. Like I said in the past I am against taking O-lineman in the 1st round completely. If we move up the only player I would be happy with us taking is Clowney. I know the o-line needs help but the potential of that kid is unreal and you can never have enough guys to get after the QB. You can double down on o-line in the 2nd 3rd and 4th.

best thing for miami is to fill holes in FA and trade back and draft more o-linemen in the day 2 rounds.

With 4/5ths of our line most likely not returning, we need both. This is supposed to be deep draft for O-lineman, so I hope we keep our picks and can get a couple of quality starters.

Miami only needs to move up if they think they have to have Matthews or Robinson. With some good fortune they could draft 3 starters on the O line. With money to spend and some solid FA out there, you don't have to do that. You can get 2 starters in free agency, then draft 2 and be in real good shape for a while.

IF Miami has 2 rookie starters on this year's OL, it will be as bad as last year.

IMO it depends on the rookies, where they are playing on the line and who is playing next to them. I'd be less concerned with a rookie RT than a rookie LT. A rookie guard playing between two vets would be fine.
