NFL is a joke

Tennessee should just recede from the NFL and never be seen on our TVs again. What a ****ing **** team.

and instead of going for 7 he chose to run it in on the last one thinking it would be selfish and classless to so blatantly go for the record. Today, teams game plan to get the records if the situation presents itself. I can't help but think that's all influenced by the NFL itself rather than the coaches etx.

i hear you but the number of 5,6 TD games by QBs must be off the charts by comparison, no?

Stop. Just stop.

Listen to yourself.

Teams gameplan to win the game. Nothing more, nothing less.

If Marino was a QB under these rules during his entire career his numbers would've been a lot bigger.

The Titans should play the Raiders in the Turd Bowl. They both looked just God awful today.

People get butthurt over the dumbest **** that has zero to do with us. :bobdole:

I give up. Enjoy your misery. (Just don't be surprised when this thread gets moved)

i personally don't see the issue here. This is really a discussions about the evolution of the NFL. it may belong in the general thread section but it's a valid discussion IMO.

i said if the situation presents itself. Priority is to win first - yes. I vividly recall Bree's going for the yardage record in mop up time against Atlanta the year he came close to the 5,084. When Brady threw one more TD than manning they said they wanted to get the record out of the way early in that game, etc. it's part of the marketing of the league. Some of us don't like that - feels "cheap" - like the accomplishment tainted.

welcome to the biggest ****ing douchebag to be involved with the nfl version of ''football'' today, that of course being roger mother ****er goodell.

a league in which u can no longer look, cough, sneeze, or touch the qb without being flagged for it.

a league in which defensive backs are not allowed to touch a wr or look at a wr the wrong way.

a league in which no fan can actually fully enjoy a big play on defense without having to hold there breathes for 5-10 seconds making sure there is no flag , bc god forbid there was a slight amount of contact, must throw the flag.

thats goodells version of fantasy football being played in the regular nfl these days.

that is why when people bring up these stats of any qbs, including ours, i dont get as excited as i used to, because every single qbs numbers r being inflated by these ****ing rules, as well as wrs numbers.

all there is to know, is that marinos record of throwing for 48 tds in a season, and the 5000 yds in a season all were ''coincidentally'' broken the moment these rules were put in to place. heck, i think like 4-5 qbs have thrown for 5000 yds since the new rules have been put in place, as to where only marino had been the only one to do it for like 27 years i believe.

**** U ROGER GOODELL!!

I never understood all the hate for Goodell. People are aware he was hired by the NFL right? He wasn't voted in by fans or the US government. He represents the OWNERS of the NFL. He makes decisions based on what is best for them. He does what they tell him, he is in essence a figurehead. You think he's running around making decisions without the input of, you know, his bosses. that's why they have meetings. Be mad at the rules (yes I agree they are stupid) and how the NFL has handled recent personnel issues, but why be mad at Goodell? He's the buffer zone, so if stuff goes really bad they can fire him and say, "See, we addressed the problem (scapegoat Goodell)".

Not so. Goodell put himself in charge as the sole disciple of player discipline. If he was smart he would have had a checks & balances committee to redirect the idiocy that he has displayed in his foolish decision making. But turns out he's a egotistical moron.

There are issues for sure with some of the rules but 5 and 6 TD games are still not the norm. Not to downplay what Fitz did today and congrats to him, but you are really starting to see what teams have done such a crappy job of building their teams or which teams are poorly coached

Yeap can't compare stats today to the 80s or 90s it's ridiculous
