NFL LIVE Bruschi and Edwards pick Dolphins QB situation (3rd) (1st) worst.

And Henne is 2-1 against the Jets....Bradford hasn't even played a team that good...Speaking of the Lions, you mind telling me how Bradford did against them?

Henne is 3-1 against the jets and in only one of those wins did he play well(1st game of '09). Bradford was a rookie, Bradford is going to be a top 5 QB in the not too distant future, expect a big step forward from him this year and considering he was better than henne last year henne needs to take a major leap to keep up w/ him- not happening.

I don't think these guys have watched every preseason dolphin game
these are just assumptions from last year

That's a good thing since preseason is meaningless.

well.. braylon was one of his recievers...

The funny thing is Braylon had great hands last year, he barely dropped any. The biggest culprits were Holmes and the usually sure handed Cotchery.

of course brady is first. the pats are always first no matter what with ESPN its classic.

Brady is the best QB in the game and they have what looks to be a quality backup and drafted Mallett to be their 3rd string when you guys wanted him to start for you.

It's true, the Dolphins were huge in the media when Marino was around. Even after, pretty much until 2004. Then even in 2006 the Dolphins were overrated, remember SI having them losing to the Panthers in the Super Bowl? They finished 6-10. Guess we can't blame them for being down on us right now...weather it, and hopefully the Phins WIN this year and make them look like morons.

The Dolphins have the most appearances on Monday Night Football with 74, next are the Cowboys with 71. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monday_Night_Football_all-time_team_standings Pats and Jets have 42, Bills have 40.

There was a time from around '98 through 2002 that EVERY year we hear how Miami was going to be a SB team and they never even came close to a title game let alone the SB. It has nothing to do w/ geography or any northeast bias.

This is a freaking joke...how are the seahawks, browns, bengals, colts (w/o manning), and 49ers better off then us. I dont care what anyone says Mccoy isnt proven yet...

Despite what many think after 2 good preseason games henne isn't proven either.

McCoy isn't proven yet but neither is Henne.

Seattle has tavaris Jackson who has started a playoff game
Indy w/o Manning still has Kerry Collins

I would agree w/ SF
I'd take Henne over Dalton this year but long term I like Dalton better

If Henne succeeds, I think it will be an indication that offensive schemes and QB coaching have as much to do with a QB's success as his skill set. Perhaps not for elite QBs like Brady and Manning, but for those like Hasselback and McCoy to name two. Not many people gave McCoy a chance to succeed as a starting QB when he was drafted. I think Daboll had as much to do with his progression as an NFL QB as any one. I just hope that Henning hasn't installed bad practice in Henne to the point he won't be able to adapt to the new system. I think the tuck and run at the goal line against Tampa Bay may in fact be a residual factor.

Guys, this isn't American Idol. Games are won based on what the Dolphins do on the field, not what the "experts" think of them. A week from Monday, the refs aren't going to say "ESPN likes Tom Brady more than Chad Henne so we're giving this game to the Patriots." If Chad Henne and the Dolphins are really better than what ESPN thinks, they will win more games. If they aren't they won't. None of this stuff means ANYTHING.

Here's a little reading from 2006:

Wasn't Herm the third worse coach during his time? Or was it first?

From 2001-2008 he won a div title(the only AFC East title won by a team other than the Pats in a year Brady was the full time starter) and made 3 other playoff apps. In the same span Miami made one postseason and was one and done.

and if Miami wins 4 more games they could have made the playoffs. You live in your "if" world, I'll live in reality.

And if Henne had the same percentage of dropped interceptions as Sanchez, they would have. Dropped interceptions last year are a part of reality. When predicting this year's season, 'if' statements are very legitimate. For instance, "If Sanchez has as many dropped interceptions as last year, the Jet's will make it to the playoffs" is a legitimate observation. As is, "If Sanchez throws as many potential interceptions as last year with a 50% reduction in dropped ones, the Jets will not make the playoffs." Laws of probability not withstanding (i.e., at the moment of flipping the coin, any flip has a 50% chance of coming up tails whatever the past history), I'd bet on the second statement before the first.

yes, Mark should have thrown 64 INTs but all b/c of luck he didn't and he led us to the title game again.

Past history. And hyperbole is a poor response.

EVERY QB has dropped potential INTs, just like every QB has dropped recs and TDs. It all evens out. I saw every snap and that # is ridiculously high. 2 examples from that first Miami game, the diving attempt by your DB and the one that hit your DL. Very difficult catches for those situations. You let me know when the NFL takes away the 2 bogus INTs vs. GB and adds the dropped TDs and recs to his total, then I will care about some silly dropped INT stat.

Every QB has bogus INT. Here's another statement. "If Sanchez does not improve as a QB from last year, the Jets don't make the playoff." I admit, in some games, he looks very good when he has to make a play. In others, not so much. This inconsistency is going to bite the Jets in the @$$. I think all the schedules in the East are going to be tough. Sanchez is going to have to bring his A game in more games than last year and I don't see it.
