They basically said how much trouble were in with 5 new starters on the OLine.. I get the whole, they need chemistry thing, but they kept sayin how RT was sacked more than anyone last year, and should be more worried this year.. But how bout this.. If we had the WORST OLine last year, wouldn't it make sense to replace them? It obviously WASN'T working with the guys we had last year! I get that we could certainly use Pouncy this year, but heck, wasn't he part of the 5 worst?!!
I'm not saying they'll be great, but if last years were the worst, and these are all new guys, right?!

well it could go either way. But with our best linemen out for atleast 4 games, it's looking dismal again.

Trey Wingo, Bruschi and McGinest are always slurping the Pat's nuts and hating on us. Mortensen and Suzy Kolber are about the only two non-Phin's bashers, for what it is worth.

When you suck as bad as we did last year. Anything will be improvement at this point.

Pouncey or no Pouncey, this O-line should perform better than whatever crap we fielded last year.

The Steelers started last season with 4 new starters. Pouncey went out early so they were in the same predicament the Dolphins are in this year. It took their OL more than half the season to get in sync. The advantage they had over the Dolphins is at QB. Rothlesberger did a decent job given the circumstances. Not at all convinced that Tannehill can overcome the issue but given the poor play of the OL last season, he played pretty well in long stretch's.

No doubt the built in excuse is there but obviously hoping we don't have to hear it.

I can agree with that, but I'm not holding my breath until the season starts. I can't imagine it being worse, but I can imagine it being just as bad or just marginally improved.

Oh and with the new OL coach, that's another reason to be a bit optimistic.

As did Chicago if I have that right.

Change in OL is overrated. The 5 this year will be more akin to the zone scheme and will be more on a par with each other athletically - unlike last year where it was such a mismatch which at times blew up the scheme. And lest not forget - there's a new OL coach also.

love it! we suck. ok then, tell the patriots, Bengals, Steelers, Atlanta, Indianapolis and others that they lost to a suckass team with probs on OL with puzzyboy Martin at LT.

He is out 8 games with injury it came out today...then he might be suspended and miss more games

This thread is complete homerville right now. Nothing they said was out of line.

Our O Line WILL be a problem.

Correct on Chicago. People can say what they want. We could suck or we could be great and we honestly don't know but the point is it has been done before and has worked....sooooooo.... Some people need to have faith and not give up before the season has officially started.

The way I look at it is can we be any worse than we were last year. I don't think so. Also, Tannehill holding onto the ball to long, the rb's and te's not being able to pass block. Sherman never rolling Tannehill out. I think Lazor will correct some of those problems. It wasn't just the Oline.
