After seeing the picks they made I can not completely disagree. However it is nice to be able to say that we had a few realistic options.
Most surprising Rookie-Jake Long not playing at a real attention getting position, but he has been solid and with the improvement of the offense you can argue that he has been a pleasant surprise. To many this should not be a surprise but realistically speaking on the track record off high picks it is just nice when one works.
Defensive player-Maybe one of the most deserving for mention could be "Peezy" he has been highly impactful in our defences return from the state the existed in last year.
Surprise of the year-Pennington after being in the position he was in last year and having to fight for his job against an unproven QB and not really winning that spot, to where he is now I'd say his performance has been very inportant to our team.
Coach-Maybe this should have been for Sparano. Honestly The Cards and Redskins. Those team have been in the playoff mix for the past two or three years although they have not made it in the Cards case they were on paper cosidered a hot pick. Redskins were there last year. Miami one Win enough said.
Dolphins were however picked as a most surprising which is a very obvious pick and I am glad they mentioned us.

yeah Tony sparano is a top canidate for coach of the year...
but Jeff fisher has never had such a good team, and he's been with the titans for a long time....
Jim Zorn was the OC in the offseason and got promoted to HC when things got wierd...
i think if the titans have 2 losses, they'll still get COY...
if the dolphins go to the playoffs and win the division i think sparano will win it no matter what tho, unless titans have 1 loss..

im happy with most suprising

it really frustrates me how when they mention offensive rookie of the year its always the sexy piks like flacco, ryan, johnson, etc. jake long deserves consideration for this. i no offensive line isnt the sexy pick but hes done something extremley difficult in the nfl and that is to be a rookie and play lt, and the level hes playing at he should deffintley warrent attention for the award.
