That Ronnie Brown was a hit in the 2005 draft. They talked about guys that were a hit at where they were picked and guys that were a miss at where they were picked. The "hit" list included Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams, Shawn Merriman, and DeMarcus Ware. The "miss" list included Alex Smith, Cedric Benson, and somebody else, I forgot. Nice to see they mentioned Ronnie Brown and thought he did good for his rookie season.

Just about to post this haha. Also coming up right now is QB controversies/issues, and culpepper was in the clip.

EDIT: Big guy on the right, said no matter what Culpepper says, he won't be back until October. Just normal stuff, nothing new.

they just said that miami has qb concerns because mike golic who doesnt know anything says daunte wont be ready until october and that joey harrington is still a big question mark....i dont understand how espn can air a segment about how daunte and league officials believe that he will be ready for the start of training camp let alone the start of the season and then nfl live comes up and trey wingo and mike golic all of a sudden think they are licensed doctors and can give estimates to when daunte will be ready...it really makes me sick and i cant wait to see the look on their faces when daunte starts week 1 against the steelers

It still cracks me up that Golic thinks he knows more than the Dolphins' team doctors and coaches.

You hear nothing but how well Daunte is doing in rehab and how ahead of schedule he is. He's rolling out of the pocket, doing everything.
The team plans on him starting week 1.

But yet, Golic and a few others on NFL Live insist week in and week out that Daunte won't be ready until "AT least October."

It's just laughable. I mean, do these guys read? Do they pay attention to the news?

Here's my impression of Golic and Mark Schlereth:

i know its absolutely riddiculous and frustrating, how are they going to report that exact opposite of what league officials and dauntes doctors are saying on his health...seriously why do these guys insists to protest

I posted a similar thread not long ago, and most people claimed that we should not care what these analysts say. I agree with you though- it is quite annoying when every report is that Daunte is ahead of schedule, even those coming from ESPN's Michael Smith, yet some think they know more. IMO they are just trying to make a splash and be controversial, which happens far too often on ESPN. And this way, no matter what happens with Daunte, they can say they were right.

i dont know if you guys also caught trey wingos little comment at the end about cleo lemon which also really pathetic

you know what in the end talk is just talk. No one know's how DC is better than himself and his doctrs, so i'd rather just listen to what they say and forget about the people that know nothing but there own oppinions on the matter. All I know is the phins are #1!!!!! :df81:

I don't see how they can already declare who is going to be good or not from last year's draft.

It's only been one season!!

I agree with everything that was said in this thread about people making stuff up about Culpepper because they think they know more than team insiders. Give me a freakin break!!

"And then there's the immortal Cleo Lemon."

Well, I guess the good news is that if he ever becomes our starter, he could be our starter for a loooonnnnggg time....

Didn't he play for us like one game or something? Obviously he sucked. His show sucks too with that little jet apologist Mikey Greenhorn.

I thought I was quick to jump ship on quarterbacks. They're REALLY quick to jump ship on Alex Smith. Yeesh.

Glad we got some props for Ronnie B.

Mark Schlereth and Mike Golic have a lot of experience between them dealing with bad injuries. Schlereth especially. That guy has had more surgeries than Michael Jackson. If Schlereth continues to not be able to imagine how Daunte could possibly see the field before October, you should take that as meaningful. It shows us how much we might be pushing it to have Daunte on the field in September.

It would be interesting to see what Schlereth and Golic say about Carson Palmer's injury. He suffered that way later in the 2005 season than Daunte.
