Does Mike Golic know something that we dont know. They were just talking on NFL LIVE about Joey Harrington and they said that we have to get this deal done because Culpepper isnt going to be starting or be ready for a couple months. Just wondering does Golic know something that we dont or is he just being an idiot like normal. From what I understood Culpepper was on his way to a very quick recovery and possibly ready for the season opener. These people bug me!!!:fire:

i'm sure hes just making assumptions...the safest way to say something is usually the route the so called "analysts" take. The injury duante has usually takes about a year to rehabilitate from. Just b/c the doc said hes recovery was going nicely doesnt mean he'll be ready for week 1...it sucks...but they gotta be prepared for it

As of right now, Culpepper is still slated to return in time to be the starter opening day; however, with injuries like his, it's impossible to plan for any setbacks, so we need a solid backup just in case.

Wait..........so the Dolphins have officially announced Culpepper as ready to start Week 1?

........................ oh that's right..............they didn't.................. and who cares, it's just Golic's opinion. How you think it's crazy is beyond me, I mean Daunte tore not 1.........not 2...........but 3 friggin' ligaments in his knee. Stop trying to selfishly rush the dude back. You want the man to ruin the rest of his career?

If you think Golic knows anything then you should be comitted. Some of the "talking heads" on ESPN make me sick with their Know-it-all attitudes. NO ONE knows dolphins business outside of coach Saban. Not the local guys like Cole and Salguero, not the experts on espn and probably not some of the other coaches. Nick sticks to his "one voice" approach and it works.

getting harrington would be the answer for our backup qb situation.

Oh c'mon ........... do you honestly believe that not a shred of information ever gets out of Dolphins camp? That's entirely impossible. Saban's great and keeping the guys from speaking publicly, but behind close doors and cell phone calls - I mean c'mon.

Shamboubou,

I cant focus on anything you write. That pic in your avatar is incredible

Wait.....so when did they say he wont be ready??

...........oh that's right.......they didn't!! I'm not saying that we shouldnt get Harrington and be ready if he's not going to be coming back. I'm just saying why is Golic saying he's not going to be ready when he doesn't know.

The part in the bold......just stupid.

Thanks Slim, Jessica Alba! Not bad to look at everytime I post. :D

I am pretty sure that nobody, including every talking head that has tried to sound like Nostradamus, knows if Culpepper will be back by week 1 or not. With any knee injury as severe as his it's just smart to have a fair to good back up. I will say I am interested to see Harrington in here. Being an Oregonian, although NOT a Duck fan, I watched him play and he had such great skills. I think Detroit and their revolving coaches and developmentally delayed GM killed his confidence.

But you see that's just the point.

You are bashing Golic for stating an opinion.

You then bash enigmatics for defending Golic and stating the fact that this QB tore 3 ligaments in his knee. A QB that his strength is his scrambling ability and his legs. He states that there is no reason to rush him back.

This is what you stated

Just wondering does Golic know something that we dont or is he just being an idiot like normal. From what I understood Culpepper was on his way to a very quick recovery and possibly ready for the season opener.

There has not been 1 report that Culpepper WILL be ready by opening day. Since the injury came out the original doctors said he would not be ready by opening day, some speculated he would miss the whole season. As time went on the best I have heard is MAYBE missing a few games. This is what the DOCTORS have said.

Is it Golic being an "IDIOT" like usual or realistic.

I would love to see Culpepper ready by week one. BUt I know if he is out on that field opening day he most likely got rushed back or rushed himself back IMO.

So there is no need to bash 2 peoples opinions and call them idiots when your Opinion probably looks as idiotic to them. You realize that will lead to a never ending I am right..... No I am right.... argument

You people need to realize what kind of injury Culpepper is recovering from. I personally don't wanna see him on the field week 1 because he will not be 100%. It's not like he just tore his ACL, he tore all 3 ligaments. We have our QB of the future, and there is absouletely no reason to rush him back under any circumstances. We do need to get Joey Harrington so he can keep this team in contention with 8 weeks to go, then we can insert Culpepper.

Golic has nightmares of Shula cutting him while still in the locker room getting ready for practice. Doesnt matter if you think Golic was right or wrong. Golic will do everything in his "media power" to make sure that the dolphins do not get recognition or any words of confidence. He will be the last to jump on the dolphin bandwagon and the first to jump ship......which should be the very next week after we win the SB.

But do they say the same thing about a guy who has a torn rotator cuff in New Orleans? No, he will be ready to go in their minds.
