http://www.nfl.com/news/story/10174851 Although talks are extremely preliminary, the NFL is investigating adding a 17th regular-season game and playing it outside the United States. The extra game would take the place of one in the preseason, allowing every team to play once abroad without sacrificing a home match.

This year, the Dolphins gave up a home date in Miami to play the New York Giants at Wembley Stadium in London. Two years ago, the Arizona Cardinals played a home game in Mexico City against the San Francisco 49ers.

I'm sick of them trying to expand the sport. They're putting the players at risk, plus they're stealing home games and local economies' revenue by doing this.

While there are some people overseas that enjoy American football, it will NEVER...NEVER take prominence over soccer.

That's why the only teams they have in NFL Europa are in Germany, besides the Admirals that play in Amsterdam.

The NFL has been doing so good for so long. They are really risking the relevance of the league with these kind of things.

On a side note, are season tickets discounted due to the lost game to London?

Yes, season ticket holders will be reimburshed.

Although, I don't know how.

Yes we were, but they jacked up the prices of tickets.....so it was a lose/lose situation:tantrum:

Since they are not really adding to the number of games played only subtracting from the amount of preseason games played the only problem would be---in todays nfl the playoff picture is not set until the last week of the season, which means the best games- the most IMPORTANT games will not be played in the united states.

I have a better idea take the FIRST week of the season- labor day weekend- and play overseas...The NFL hates opening on labor day- a traditionally low ratings day... And leave the IMPORTANT games playing in the USA.

Very risky for a very physical sport. I don't like this idea.

Lets be honest its only one more game you cant discount the idea because someone may get injured in that one game. Somone could get hurt week 16 too should we take that week away?

Im in favor of adding the week, or having no overseas game at all.

Agreed. Here's a better idea why not just move the preseason games overseas and leave ALL the games here in the States. It's not like the majority of Europeans really care whether or not they're watching preseason or not. Before you know it we're going to have the super bowl hosted in Zimbabwe

as much as i love football 16 is enough. even though one game wouldnt make that much of a difference its enough to find it pointless.
