What a joke! This guys are up debating on the celebration rules and say nothing about the unfair advantage WRs have or how the roughing the passer rules have gotten so restrictive that if you blow on a QB it is a penalty. These guys need to have some fans come in there to put sanity back in the discussions.:D

i agree 150% freakin dudes always protective the quarterback maybe teams will realize how important the oline is when the quarterback gets rattled without increasing 15 yards..ask brady he knows no penalties bailed him out that week

That's every QB. Just how the NFL is. Fans want to see offense. Touchdowns. If Tom Brady or Peyton Manning or Carson Palmer get hit after they throw the ball and are out for a month or two, then instead you got Matt Cassell, Jim Sorgi, or Anthony Wright out there. Common sense tells you that equals less points (or, as the case may be, more points for the other team). Same thing as the officials calling illegal contact penalties on DBs. Less holding penalties on the OL. It's got everything to do with trying to up the points and offensive firepower. While we all enjoy seeing a good defensive struggle sometimes, let's face it - most of us would much rather see a 38-34 back and forth game.

if i was paying what alot of these qb's(specilly the great ones) i would want to do everything i can to make sure they don't get injured for something that shouldn't have happened in the first place like a late hit or a guy blatently going for a knee. i am surprised there's not a insurance that covers these guys for the owners..i know hand models that are insured if anything happens to their hands. but i do think sometimes they take it alil extreme..getting injured is part of the game and can sway outcomes of games. it is just ashame that they only protect the qb to this degree.

as for celebrations it is part of the game and apart of human nature to get excited about something good they have done. it also pumps the fans and lets face it if there were'nt any fans there wouldn't be any money to be made and half these guys would be doing something else. if you don't want to get taunted get out of the game or start playing better.

one thing i like about the new rule(if passed) is no penalty for accidental facemask calls. i always felt that was a bs call as sometimes its out of the players control.
