Things got tense when Garafolo mentioned Tannehill in the same sentence as Peyton Manning, who Dolphins head coach Adam Gase coached with the Broncos.
p

“His play has been up and down, and it equates to an average quarterback,” McGinest said. “In my true honest opinion, I don’t think he’ll pan out to be that franchise guy they’ve been waiting for the last four to five years.”
“Ryan Tannehill isn’t anything close to Peyton Manning or Eli Manning,” Smith said. ” He isn’t even Eli Manning. Peyton Manning is Poker. Ryan Tannehill is go-fish, old maid.”

No matter on which side of the argument you are but this has to make everybody laugh
Peyton Manning is Poker. Ryan Tannehill is go-fish, old maid.

That is a funny line. :laugh

1. Since when did the standard of an all time great become a measuring stick? Like, that makes you average? Ok.

2. He’s better than regular season Eli.

3. NFL Network analysts that were former players in general do not watch football. I stopped watching their commentary a while ago, although I’ll concede I thought Mcginest was one of the better ones back then. It doesn’t make up for Dukes, Deion, LT, Faulk etc. Just awful.

Better than Regular season Eli? Oh delusional RT fanboys. I would love to know how you got there.

Cutler and Tannehill are the same player. Only difference is Cutler is older so his body can’t hold up anymore.

No one knows. Who would have thought that Nick Foles would lead the Eagles to the SB. Not saying that Tanny will but the point is who knows. Opinions many a give.

You think those guys are bad Monday night football with Randy moss and Charles Woodson has become unbearable.

When they got rid of Trent Dilfer they got rid of the only guy that was worth a damn in that 2 plus hour pre game chirade.

You know it's not what you say but how you say it. I also have my doubts about Thill, but was it necessary to insult the guy to that extent on National TV, you don't like his game..fine! you don't think he will ever be a franchise QB...fine! All that other stuff he could have left out of his analysis.

The worst guy however is Steve Young. Let’s his reputation as a player carry him never does an ounce of pre game study work and just wings it the whole time he’s on there.

He’s getting paid to bring nothing to the table for Monday night football other than a figure head.

Just spin a ball in your hands on the set and wing the whole damn thing.

I really dislike when fans or analyst use a Hall of Fame player like Peyton Manning to compare to other lesser players. Tannehill mightnot be at Manning's level but few are. Why paint a picture that these young or even mid career qbs need to be at an All-Star or Hall of Fame level or they're bums?

Tannehill will not get us anywhere. Just like our past 5 seasons have indicated. Just need to let this season play out with a 6 win maximum so Gase & Tanne can take a hike and we get Harbaugh and his QB. Need a new era.
