Couldn't believe what I just saw on the NFL Network. They had four nominees for clutch performer of the week with one of them being Arizona's kicker hitting a 34 yard field goal. WOW!

Kiko's 60 yard pick 6 wasn't even a nominee even though it was the most impressive of any BY FAR... An incredibly smart and athletic play that won the game for Miami.

Yeah not one peep about the phins today on NFL network. Pretty pathetic. That play from kiko was awesome. He's smart don't let him fool you. When he does interviews you would think he's not the brightest but he's just an interesting person who doesn't like to talk or be in the spotlight. He's been like that his entire career.

Dan Lebatard said Kiko is horrible in coverage... these guys have no clue

Be thankful. Miami stumbles when they begin reading their own press clippings.

I happen to love listening to the Fighter and the Kid podcast, which is a former UFC fighter and a standup comedian. They were dying laughing recently because they got invited to NFL network inexplicably to talk NFL even though they don't watch the NFL at all (especially the standup comedian, who they make fun of on the podcast for it). They said at one point while they were pontificating about Peyton Manning on NFLN, they were so wrong about everything even the cameraman was just shaking his head slowly while they spoke. They then went on a long rant about how Peyton Manning never had a good WR to throw to, only to have a person tell them after they got done filming that Marvin Harrison was a hall of fame WR and everything they said was wrong.

So what happened? Did they refilm it or replace them with people with actual knowledge? No. NFL Network edited it all down in post to string coherent sentences out of them. Just goes to show how much that network respects their audiences intelligence.

If you define clutch as performing at high levels under extreme pressure, than Tanny wins hands down. He threw unbelievable passes that only a handful of qbs could throw not only while in the face of neck karate chopping defensive players but also with the game in the balance

Dan Lebatard also said, on his talk show on ESPN radio today, the Dolphins vs Chargers was entertaining, but no one believes either team is good. We were really bad for a long time, and 5 weeks ago most of the national media thought we were one of the worst 2 teams in the NFL, so its going to take a few more wins to get the national media hype. Of course is Lebatard is horrible anyway.

That pick 6 is getting no love nationally, and it is absurd. The only play that rivaled it yesterday was the 2pt conversion from the blocked EP. A 60 yard game winning pick six, against a sure fire hall of fame QB, with 1 minute left is one of the most dramatic finishes all season. When you add it was to clinch a 4th straight win for a team that was thought to be the worst team in the NFL it makes it more compelling. If we can win this week I still don't see much love coming our way. We will have to win the next 2, and the media will pay attention when we go to Baltimore.

Well, last night on NBC Coach Dungy and Rodney Harrison both said "they were buying into the Dolphins" and tonight on ESPN Trent Dilfer was giving Tanny all kinds of praise for the the big throws he made yesterday under pressure.

There's just no excuse though for leaving Kiko's play out of those choices...

Keep winning and the attention will come. This team is buying into what Gase is selling and they are having fun doing it.

NFL Network absolutely sucks. Apparently they have a knock off "pimp my ride," show with NFL players on it? Couldn't lol enough when I saw that.

Hey, it's an entertainment show about entertainers ... and the Dolphins don't have many fans. If it were Dallas or New England we'd see it every 5 minutes and it would be one of the greatest football plays ever. But it's the Dolphins ... so it's not even a footnote.

I don't agree that Miami doesn't have many fans. Everywhere I've ever gone I've run into Dolphin fans. I think they're still one of the more popular teams around the country with countless long time fans going back to Zonk, Marino, Shula, etc. It's just that they haven't had much to cheer about for years and years so they've been pretty much undercover.

The turnout in SD yesterday was a great example of the wide support still out there for the Fins. You wouldn't have seen that kind of support for any other AFC East team in CA or the majority of other teams in the league. When this franchise finally turns it around again those numbers will be evident again.

I believe that the Fins have more fane OUTSIDE of the South Florida area than inside of it. S.F. is like the big apple in that there are people from everywhere. The loyal fans, the diehards reside in other states, like myself, in the heart of Jets/Giants country.

The Fins used to have fans, a generation ago. Best winning percentage, one of the most popular nationally and internationally.
The team has been alternating between a laughing stock to mediocre the last 10 years.
It is going to take some time and consistent winning to get the bandwagon people back.
The media is based in the NY area and the people there are inherently territorial. As long as those teams are winning or competitive they get the positive press.
As long as I can watch the highlights, I really don't care what they say anyway.
