Was watching Saban yesterday around 5 o clock PM eastern and they cut off Saban in mid PC and went to a commercial very abruptly. The reason for doing so is now very evident to me that they were cutting out Saban and his comments because of the ref calls at Oakland. The NFL and Paul Tagliabue have a consipiracy with the refs where they favor good teams or ones that get high ratings. The whole system is set up so that refs can never be blamed for anything and actually controlling the game when they want. They cant do it in an obvious way or every week because then it would become apparent. But when I saw this yesterday, I was livid! I watched the entire thing from 2:30 on to see Saban and then they pull that crap!

do u have any legitimate examples of refs consistently only being bias to the teams with higher ratings?

It was one of Sabans off days for PC's, appearing unusually groggy, and almost in a sputter mode, he was definitely spoutin off more Dolphan fodder than anything the general viewership was gonna find of interest.

The Network was fishin for Saban to cough up some more of those meaty Ref bones, but ol Nicky wasn't biting.

bullcrap, there's no conspiracy.
I agree with that. There's no conspiracy against the Dolphins. Being an official is a very tough job and someone who says they officiate, but little kids or high school don't have a clue whats its like to work a top level game. Blaming the officials for a loss is the worst kind of lame excuse there is. Some players do get breaks in some calls, Peyton Manning, Michael Vick, just to name a few, and the reason they do is because people pay money to watch those guys perform. Guys like Brooks Bollinger won't get those calls because who is Brooks Bollinger?

Now NFL Network can take bits and pieces and make Saban look bad. It's what the television media does. Soundbites, useless misleading soundbites.

yea i watched that too.. finfan...i was mad too... i was doing skoolwork every monday and usually i keep that on to hear saban..i was laughin hysterical when he goes "I'M gona be very very very very very very very very very careful what i say" that was great.....but saban is the man...love this guy..if wanny was there we would probably hear him talking 100 words a minute...thank god...but i do think the nfl does have a bias with bad teams, but that has always been happening since the nfl has been here...so that does not bother me...

I don't believe they have a conspiracy, but I do know that the refs are human. And as humans they do get taking over by the hype and hoopla and at times may favor the home teams by making questionable calls in favor of the home teams...but I don't believe it is a conspiracy. I do think that in the beginning of the season, when our offensive line was struggling with false starts that they were being more picky and called a few bullcrap false starts and holding penalties until they realized that the Line had actually gotten their act together and laid off of them after a while...and stuff like that. But all this you can't critize the refs or you get fined thing is a little biased on the part of the NFL.

there's no conspiracy about favoring certain teams. it might happen that certain players gte favorable calls because of things that aren't immediately on the surface, but it's not meant to set up teams for the future, imo.

that said, the NFL does a lot to defend its officiating crew and it wouldn't surprise me that they would fine a coach for his statements, but what channel would cut off a controversial press conference? unless it's NFL run, i don't see the connection. any other station would run that 24/7.

this is the side of ole Rosco you wont see often but some of you characters are way wrong and i have proof that the nfl is trying to flame the dolphins.

example #1 last night on mnf they showed five different players doing what randy mcmichael did and they were not flagged for their deeds, which were excessive celebration/ taunting.

example #2 they showed one guy hunching a goal post after scoreing a td , no lies, then a caralina player and a bengals player did exactly what randy did holding a arm extended out at another player.

example #3 when the colts scored a td harison taunted a steeler player and i saw it with my eagle eyes.

so Rosco here is totally pissed off here and if you want more proof then watch more nfl players while and after they score a td and you will have your proof.

ok i am through ranting now , so i will go and and pull a buddwalk and get into some more trouble now. this concludes my insanity.:fire: :fire: :fire:
