I'm finally getting DirecTV this weekend, and am excited it comes with the NFL Network. While I'm waiting til next year to get the Ticket (2 Dolphins games isn't worth the extra money to me, since the last will be national), I'm wondering how the coverage is on the NFL Network - is it worth watching it? How often do they replay games, specifically Miami games? A lot of Dolphins coverage? What about preseason or draft coverage?

I like the NFL Network. I know some people seem to think they are biased against the Dolphins like other networks cough::ESPN::cough but it isn't that bad. I like the personalities, they are more intellectual rather than being belligerent and overbearing. They don't play many games during the season, they just do the NFL replay show which has 4 games per week (and it's never the Dolphins so don;t get your hopes up). They show some classic games sometimes which is fun and the non-game programming is pretty solid. They do a Top 10 show which is good and the Playbook shows are very interesting.

Games are replayed based (roughly) on how good/exciting/close they were. So if Miami gave/suffered a beatdown, they're usually not there. If it was a nailbiter against a lousy team, they're usually not there. So I guess it's luck - I don't believe the "bias" claims some people have.

Preseason, they broadcast every game, but obviously only a few are live. You might get your game on 2.00 AM (repeated usually two days after, at like 8.00 PM), but it will be on eventually. The draft coverage is great - interviews, analysis, etc. If you like that stuff you'll be pretty much set.

What I love most about NFL Network, though? It's football. All the time! So even if the Dolphins (or something Dolphins-related) aren't on, I still get to watch something about football.

Yeah, its a great channel. NFL 365. Great Draft Coverage: the entire combine is televised. Its just like ESPN without every other sport.

So much better than ESPN. You will enjoy it. They recently added Sapp he is there new resident tool. He'd fit in better at ESPN where the philosophy is 'I will raise my voice and make stupid remarks just to make them.'
Oh, not that it means anything but they don't have their guys show up in the purple and gold type clown suits Michael Irvin used to wear at ESPN. Hard to take someone seriously when they walked off the set of 'I'm gonna get you sucka.'

Don't get ur hopes up if you plan on hearing great things aboutthe Dolphins. Just wait tell you listen to "prime-time" rip us every chance he gets. That becomes pretty old pretty quick. But all and all I do like the channel just not some or the announcers.

The NFL network recently replayed the Miami vs New England game from a few weeks ago.

All the networks are biased, when the team did horrible the previous year, they dont count on them for a while after.

The phins havnt been good for a few years. So hopefully this year will start a trend back to relevancy.

Here's a suggestion- Call up Directv, tell them you are considering changing your mind on your purchase with them because the cable company gave you a better offer to stay with them. They will probably transfer you right to customer retention at that point. Once you get customer retention on the phone they will ask you what they can do to change your mind. Tell them you want to check out Sunday Ticket with the Redzone channel, and why don't you throw in some free months of movie channels while you're at it. They will give you the moon to keep you as a customer, you just gotta ask.

NFL Network is the ****!!!! Best channel on TV. It beats the hell out of ESPN for several reasons.....

1) Once the world series is over.....can you really tolerate all that NBA **** on Sportscenter??? Lebron this, Lebron that. **** Lebron. And thats a stupid ****ing name btw....LeBron. Sounds like one of those old mini-cars from the 80's.....LeCar. And people bought those LeBra's for the front of their cars.

2) No Emmitt Smith, Stuart Scott, Berman, and a few other clowns. Granted occaisionally you will have to tolerate Deion Sanders, its still far superior to the ESPN NFL coverage.

3) The one major problem you may have is when watching the highlight show on Sundays and Monday mornings, aside from tolerating Deion, they have a little theme song they play by Snoop Doggy Dogg. Its HORRIBLE. It will make you want to break your TV. If you can make it through that.....youre golden.

Aside from all that, you get to watch games over all week. You get classic games all the time. Its all NFL all the time. Its great. And this time of the year, NFL is all that matters. Plus even though its alot of Cowboys bs, it dosent come close to ESPNs dedication to talking about Dallas 24/7, or at least when Lebron isnt on.

Also, I dont know how I forgot to mention this, but NFLN has added 2 really hot chicks to their roster who do studio work. The only person ESPN has who can touch them is the hottest of the hot, Erin Andrews. But, Erin dosent do studio work, just sideline ****.

Honestly... I don't think any of the networks have a bias against the Fins... There's no reason to. They just look at the previous season's record (which was horrible) and they have every reason not to be excited..

I will say one thing.. Jim Mora Sr., who is on NFLN, has said more than once that he likes the Fins going into the playoffs..

Agree with WV, the Lebron Coverage on ESPN is terrible. There already talking about him signing with NY, when he becomes a FA in 2 years!

Anyway, i dont have NFLN, but i do know its better than ESPN. Congrats!
