Which did you choose to watch the draft?

I tuned in mostly to the NFL Network, but switched back and forth just to compare. There were aspects of both that I liked.

Whoever came up with the idea to have Deion Sanders do on-stage interviews with the players should be fired! I've managed to get over my dislike for Deion years ago when he was an analyst in the studio, but putting a microphone in his hand to get live reactions from players was a complete disaster. He came up with such brilliant questions for the players like "So, is your family excited for you?" or "What should ????? fans expect from you?" or "What are your true feelings right now?".

It reminded me of when he hosted the Miss USA pageant. I didn't actually watch that gem, only listened to Howard Stern replay it and dedicate a segment of his show making fun of it. Halarious!

Both, they invented P-i-P for a reason. Loved every minute of it.

P.S. the best part was commercial breaks, each rotated so you never missed a minute of action....I always laughed when one set came back from break and showed "old" footage of the already announced pick.

Dont have NFL Network, but I hate ESPN's coverage of the draft after round 2.

Yea I watched both and was in Fin Chat all weekend . . . I'm still in football mode . . . which is why I am still on this site . . . but I go to work in a few and I will be OUT of football mode lol

It was kinda cool watching both . . . I think NFL network had the better coverage . . . but you can't miss some of the drama that ESPN brings.

Mort was about to kick some *** at one point
I respect Jaws' ability to break down film . . . but he is not a commentator at all . . . he fumbles alot when he is pressed about something.
The whole keyshawn/KFC things was funny
Always good to see how DUMB Chris Carter is . . . he still mad that we cut him?
ESPN also had cameras at certain people houses . . . that is a big PLUS over NFLN to me.
Kiper getting heated always is funny . . him and McShay were about to fight several times.

ESPN just has the guys we know . . . NFLN is still growing on me.

NFL Network less commercials more Ex GM's and coaches and more focus on the players.

I have watched ESPN since the days of Paul Zimmerman and Howard Balzer when no one really knew who Mel Kiper was. But they are too repetitive all day long with the same comercials and too generic.

I watched both, flipping back and forth on commercial breaks. On ESPN, I still get a kick out of Berman for some reason and watching Kiper get ticked is always fun. NFLN I think had better coverage. I think for the most part they were more interesting although sometimes they just seem unpolished and for some reason Mayock drives me nuts. It seems I have more criticism of NFLN but I really enjoyed their coverage more.

I usually watch ESPN, but I found myself watch NFL Network more this year. They did have better coverage this year. Keyshawn and Deion need to go.

Did anyone else see someone in Dorsey's house hand him a red hat on camera right after C Long was picked by the Rams? He quickly handed it back to the person. I thought it was interesting that at least someone there was pretty certain he was headed to KC three picks later.

I enjoyed the little bit of Kiper and McShay bickering that I saw. It's always fun seeing an 'experts' opinion getting questioned on live tv.

Yes I did notice that...i was like wow the cheifs huh? lol

Chris Berman nausiates me now. Hearing him caused me to instantly go to NFLNetwork and was glad to watch there. No Eddie Munster was a clear bonus!

The one issue I have with ESPN is that they tell you what the pick is before it is announced by the commissioner. The NFL network does not do that, they just give predictions as to who it will be and when the commissioner announces the pick, that's the first somewhere learns about it. I find that aspect of the draft to be the best part and when ESPN tells you what it is or when they show you the prospects in their houses on the cell phone prior to a pick, it irks me.

For that reason, I stayed tuned to the NFL Network.
