Adam Shefner (sp?) on NFL Total Access on the NFL Network just talked about Saban and the Dolphins. He said after seeing whats going on down here in Miami, that there is no doubt in his mind that we will win atleast 9 games this season...

Thought you all might like that...

Nasty

now thats what i call a turn-around. If we can get 9 wins we are set for a superbowl run within 3yrs. We dont have the easiest of schedules tho and we are playing in the toughest division in NFL IMO so lets get it done gradually.

9 probably won't get ya in the playoffs, but doubling our win total from last year is a good first step.

I look at it like this. First off, this is our first year. With new players, new coaches, new schemes, etc. If we win 5 games, its better then last year. Thus an improvement. While I believe we'll win more then that, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Saban has already said, with the limited amount of draft picks, he's putting together a team that can be built upon for the future. I'll give him 4 years of my full support, win or lose. While I may question some of his calls and choices, he's still the coach and I'm still the fan.

Wow, people talking positive about us. What a change.

Awesome, awesome.

We really can't complain about the NFL network. They have been giving us some mad love as of late.

I'm going to make sure to tape this episode when it re-plays later.

Thanks for the heads up!

Believe it. We are getting it done. Jigsaw pieces will come together and we will get back to the promised land. Saban may get us out of the slums weve had for last few seasons.

Yeah, I was just watching it, everybody complains about reporters being-anti-Miami or so. All I know is that Adam Schefter actually seems to know the team more than most reporters. There's one reporter for you actually knows more about football than most. He was talking about the history and judging by how the players are doing at camo and how Saban is getting the players ready, don't be surprised to see Miami being above .500 again like they have before last season.

The key is to groom an offensive coach and have him ready to take over the playcalling, becuase Leinhan is the "hot" assistant in this league. And many insiders are reporting he will have head coaching offers left and right starting next offseason. He was looked upon in a very positive light for his work in Minnesota and he is the next young guy in the mold of a Gruden, Reid...etc who will be a head coach very very soon. It's key that Saban have an assistant work shoulder-shoulder with Leinhan all season and be in on gameplanning and playcalling, becuase when Miami is making a run hopefully in 2 or 3 years, odds are Leinhan won't be here.

Too bad predictions don't mean anything.

The day Adam Schefter rips into Miami is the day everyone here on this board will rip into him.

2 days ago when Florio was on 790 the Ticket he was being praised here. Today he reports Gus will start over AJ and he's back to being the anti-christ!:shakeno: Why? I have no idea, but he is.

I believe that is part of the reason why Saban has 22 coaches on his staff.
