NFL Network Story of Dolphin Rejection

What a joke. First off, Saban didn't "spurn" Miami, he FAILED in the NFL and ran back to the college world like a little wuss.

The same with Parcells, he screwed up several drafts and never found a quality qb and he also quit.

Harbaugh was already living in the SF area and the 49ers were closer to winning big than Miami and in a MUCH easier division. That was a pretty easy call for him to make and in NO WAY should that reflect badly on Miami.

Fisher wanted total control of an organization and the Rams were also in an easier division.

Manning is about money and which organization is going to kiss his ass the most on everything he wants and like Fisher and Harbaugh I think he' too big of a coward to have to face the Patriots within the division.

So everyone that's trying to say Miami is somehow a place to just a visit and play needs to shut the hell up because they're being complete idiots.

What was the point of this video by NFLN? You could make one about almost every team that hasn't won a Super Bowl in the recent past.

Take the Bills:

1. They got a high profile quarterback in Bledsoe, and never made the playoffs.

2. Mike Mularkey quit on them after just two seasons. He preferred to be the Dolphins OC rather than be the Bills head coach.

3. Swung and miss on a 1st round quarterback(Losman).

4. Bill Cowher interviewed and turned them down.

5. Signed TO and was a major bust for them.

6. Have started a couple seasons hot only to end the season on major losing streaks.

7. Marv Levy joined the front office and bombed.

8. Longest streak in the NFL of not making the playoffs.

9. Drafting Maybin high in the draft. Never had a sack, yet once cut led the Jets in sacks.

10. One winning season the past 12 years.

Where is the video for them? Oh I forgot, they signed Mario Williams so the past failures don't matter.

They make a video about this of Miami because these things aren't supposed to be happening to Miami. They expect people to turn down KC and ARZ. But the media is probably shocked at what Miami has become since their glory days.

And New York and KC?

On one of the jest boards, some were amazed that Peyton refused to even speak to Woody Johnson. Where's that report??

Heaven forbid, it was a Fins coach who described himself as a bi-curious voyeuristic foot fetishist and advertised his wife's unpixilated cooter on an alternate lifestyle site.. we'd never hear the end of it instead of the initial chuckle and then it being swept under the rug.

Then of course there's their recent first round swings, misses and maybe-misses in Gholston and Sanchez, yet they've got their act together, eh?

Any of you see NFL Network's story on Dolphin rejection? Highlighted how the Dolphins appear to be left at alter. Appeared to be narrated by Eisen. That on top of Lombardi's sober words this morning and the Dolphins have gotten a lot of attention today (forgot about path to draft as well).

Media just trying to make a buck, generate an interesting angle for a headline/story.

Peyton was probably afraid of the Media.A differance between him and Dan Marino.Marino ate the media for lunch..Pick Tennessee Peyton so you can go back to the sticks and eat cornbread..

It is media spin. Then people like Armando and Sid, fuel it on local radio. It is picked up by the likes of Florio (such a prick.) and they love to pile on. They feed it to rabid fans. It is an easy sell.

I look at Ross like he is trying, what is so bad with that. You have an owner that would drop protocol and fly across the country to try and steal a Head Coach away from his home town team. The media could have portrayed him as gutsy, win at all cost (which is the way they would have portrayed someone like Jerry Jones), instead they portray Ross as an idiot. All media spin.

I live in Tennessee and have too say its pretty good conbread.:D

We always get lots attention when the story is negative about Miami. Frankly, if Manning wanted to come to Miami, he would have signed last week. F Him, and F NFL network. He would have been a short term fix, now we can get on with building a perennial champion.
Who ever wins, may end up the loser if Manning falls on his horse face.

Hey Langer72, meant to give you a thumbs up on your post and hit the wrong button.

I got a good chuckle from it.

Yeah they like to harp on our hardships that's for sure. Stinks we've been going through over a decade of not being a prime type team. All teams go through it at one time or another whether it's based on ownership, or lack of talent. Sure they like to hype it up for whatever reason. I still love my Dolphins through and through. Some fans might jump ship but they're my team no matter what! We'll right the ship, who knows when, then we can once again enjoy greatness. This is what happens when you're a fan. You go through the bad and the good. Let's just hope the good is right around the corner.
Fin Fan Forever!

Dog bites man is no story, Dolphin spurned (aka: man bites dog) big story... Until this franchise returnes to "glory" we WILL be chastised by the national media. The ation cannot stand the fact that this franchise is still the one and ONLY unbeaten, un-tide, un-blemished NFL team in history and all the ***s in NYC and Boooossston can't fu**ing stand it. Therefore this team will be laughed at and held in chaste until we show them WTF for. It has been this way for at least a deacde and will continue until we prove ourselves relevent. Does anybody remember when Willie White Shoes played in NY, and they treated us like baby's... until Shoes showed up and started kickin' their f***ing @$$e$. We should ALL be used to this Dis-Respect, and frankly we have earned it over the past 15 years.
