Just an FYI for Cox Cable Customers if you did not know, NFL Network begins Thursday Sept. 14. I got my last bill and it had a note saying that NFL Network is coming to Cox. Man I'm so excited they're finally getting it. I've been requesting it for a year now. Hopefully in a few years digital cable customers will have NFL ON DEMAND...where you can buy individual football games on Sundays, or subscribe to the NFL Sunday Ticket. Hopefully getting NFL Network will put them one step closer.

I honestly don't think the NFL will ever be on cable, I think they just signed another 5 years with DirectTV

I have DirectTV but have heard that some cable companies get the NFL network.

Sucks that they aren't starting until Sept..........NFL network shows all the preseason games throughout the month of August.

But at least you are getting it!! Cablevision still doesn't have it!! :fire:

It's certainly going to be a while...I hate to say...but I think the number of cable and digital cable customers in this country far exceeds the number of Directv customers. And in Canada the Sunday Ticket is offered on Digital Cable, I'm jealous...haha. The NFL would be better suited to offer the package to the masses. Needless to say, I was dissapointed when Tagliabue renewed the contract. However, I was talking to one of the Cox cable associates, and I don't know how relaible his information was, he said one of the major cable players made a compelling bid to the NFL, but was counteroffered by Directv, and unfortuantely the cost is going to continue to go up on the package. Granted many people will still buy it at a high cost, as I would as well, some people will not.

I can only hope that Directv will someday sell the rights to the package or have the NFL step in and work out a new television deal in a couple of years.

I'm really starting to

1) Hate Canada.

2) Consider moving there.

Its already started out here in Vegas. I found the channel by accident about a week ago just flipping through the channels

I have DirectTV too, but cable would be nicer.

Not going to happen soon

The NFL will milk the DirecTV cow until it's dry. I can't tell you how many people got it just to get Sunday Ticket.

As long as DirecTV is willing to pony-up the huge $$$$, the League will keep Sunday Ticket on the bounce.

i bet he puts 20 post a day here in a fins site ...what a loser ....dudes been a member since march...and has a 1030 posts here!!!!!plus he is an 11 yr old bills fans starting trouble.......what an idiot...

And you've been a member here for how long? And you have how many posts?

And how many of those posts are bumping your own horrible thread, that you've been keeping alive for over a month.

Bottom line, it dosen't matter who I'm a fan of, I offer more to each and every coversation than you could ever hope to because you aren't very smart. You converation is lacking, and you have no real opinions, you just regurgitate painfully obvious information in the form of a question.

Typical Dolfan2010 Post:

QB's:

"So I think it will be AJ or Gus this year. I think they should have some passing yards. And TD's. What do you guys think.

NFL Net's OK; most of the time it's a lot of filler, sometimes there's somthing good.

It's not the Sunday Ticket, though - that's the Holy Grail. That's what's worth having.

Just came on to Adelphia Cable here in Southern California. Woo Hoo!
