Well thats interesting. Bitonio is worth keeping an eye on, Cleveland could be interested in dumping him before the trade dead line as he'll be 33 in about a month and their future salary caps are a disaster. Bitonio has a low salary this year so he's very affordable on a half year rental.
If Cleveland isn't competitive, they will need to blow this whole thing up (minus Watson, Ward and Garrett) after the season.
I'm hoping to see Jacksonville wax them come Sunday. Browns do have a favorable schedule after that, facing the Raiders (in LV), the NYG and the Commanders. Eagles, Bengals and Ravens (trade dead line) following those 3 easy opponents.
God forbid they lose to the Giants or Commanders. Heads will roll.
The Browns weep what they sow. Setting Watson's off-field issues aside. You don't give a 6 yr guaranteed contract to a QB that hadn't played football in almost 2 years.
It's not a shock he's awful, he's prob got PTSD from the whole legal issue/everyone on earth hates him. Not surprised one bit he's a shell of his former self.
If they blow it up Watson needs to be the first one to go. That team played far better with Joe Flacco at QB.
I get it, the dead cap hit would be murder, but if you want to be a cancer survivor, you need to cut out the cancer.
There's very few QBs who would have played worse than Watson did yesterday
They can't do anything til after 2026. He'll still have a $173M in dead cap money AFTER this year.
Thats more than double what the Broncos are eating in Wilson's cap hit this year. After 2025, it's still $100M.
Cleveland is going to have to start moving on from its other players. Starting with both OG's.
Carolina, NYG and Cleveland are 3 of the toughest situations for fans right now. So little hope.
