Betting on the Bears is throwing money away dude. They arnt winning a Superbowl this year. NFC is way too tough.

Yes, they probably aren't but at 44-1 odds, that's a big potential pay out for a team that's likely heading to the post season, armed with one of the best defenses (and probably the best secondary) in the league, the best WR/TE room in the league and the most physically gifted QB on the planet. Couple all that with the Aiden Hutchinson injury, which will make Chicago's two games against Detroit much more winnable.

They should be in the 15-1 range with most of the wild card contenders.

The Bears roster doesn't have many holes, outside of the OL. If I could have any roster in the NFL, it would be Chicago's.

What they did to Jacksonville yesterday was a even more surprising given Jaquan Brisker and Tyrique Stevenson didn't play and Kyler Gordon got hurt. 3 of their big 4 in the secondary (to go with Jaylon Johnson). Trevor Lawrence should've produced a heck of a lot more than he did given the injuries in the secondary.

They have a big game in two weeks (bye this week) against Jayden Daniels and the Commanders. Another break for the Bears as Johnathon Allen suffered an oblique injury yesterday and will miss the rest of the season.

I think the Bears are going to make a major splash at the trade deadline, if they can secure a W @ Washington. Looking forward to that one as Jayden Daniels is awesome as well, despite not having nearly as much talent on his team that Caleb has.

You do make a very compelling argument, I have to give you that.

I'm thinking about; probably what Vegas oddmakers are thinking about. Rookie QBs just don't win Superbowls and I dont think their offense will be able to produce against the top end teams.

Ya that’s usually the case but those rules only apply to mortals.

I certainly don’t think they will win the Super Bowl, it’s hard to assume anyone other than KC and 2-3 more teams aren’t a lot more likely. But 44-1 got my attention.

I actually logged into my MGM account which I only use for playing small stakes poker once every 2-3 months, whenever my family gives me enough of a break. I noticed an even better bet than the Bears winning the Super Bowl.

Caleb Williams pays 40-1 to lead the league in TDs. Baker’s got 15, Burrow and Love have 12. Williams is currently 9th, with 9 TD passes. Again, it’s unlikely he finishes first but 40-1 is a pretty hefty payout.

While the NFCN is definitely going to be a tough division, that’s not going to be because of the pass defense for 3 of those teams. The Lions, Vikings and Packers are in the bottom third of the league. GB - 23rd, Detroit - 27th (with Hutchinson), MN - 30th. The Bears rank 7th.

I'm not much of a gambler. I bet $10 last weekend in a same game parley that woulda paid $8,400.

It didn't hit for some reason. 🤣

I stopped gambling a long time ago. I tended to get carried away. It’s a lot of fun but very addicting. I love playing in poker tournaments but I limit myself overall. I have two young boys and wife who limit my disposable income.

-How come Zack Martin graded so poorly?

-everything you said about the bears is great but there is less than 1% chance they win the superbowl, maybe less than 5% they get there… but agreed him leading league at TD is a much better play

-if you guys wanna get your toes wet on gambling, try “sleeper” app, my brother in law is making a killing on that… 3-4 player parlays that are pretty reasonable and he’s winning thousands every week (he’s not a big gambler either). Of course he loses but he’s winning huge overall.

Which was the better trade? Cooper for a 3rd - was it conditional?

The conditional for Adams is if he goes All Pro (tiny chance I guess) or Jets in AFCC - also unlikely.

So if they both end up being a 3rd, which is the better trade? Coopers contract is fairly tenable I imagine and he has never been a big locker room diva like Adams gets a bad rap for (and I’m not 100% sure is confirmedh).

He is not the most physically gifted QB and he has a 2 cent head.
Also. USC QBs and Heisman QBs historically never win super bowls or even get there. Sure, Chicago might get playoffs. But that is forever his cut off point.

At least your consistent with your rubbish thoughts.

A guy transfers from Oklahoma to USC, wins Heisman at USC, and that’s the basis of your theory.

Matt Leinart and Caleb Williams have as much to do with each other as Justin Fields and CJ Stroud. Like Drew Henson and Tom Brady. Kliff Kingsbury and Patrick Mahomes.

The rules of Finheaven preclude me from telling you just how little I (and 99% of FH) think of you.

Lol it's not a theory. It's years of fact behind it. Winning the Heisman is you basically you sold your soul for the one award and now all you get is some decent NFL money for a while. It's not theory when it happens over and over again. If you want a successful NFL career, if you want a super bowl. Do not win the Heisman as a QB. I won't be wrong.

None of the QBs you mention will win a SB.

Since I’m going to entertain your crack pot theory, I’ll remind you that Caleb Williams is technically an Oklahoma QB, and only went to USC.l to because of his coach.

So, in conclusion, your theory was formulated largely around the fact that Lincoln Riley went to USC. And that because Caleb Williams not only went with him but played well enough to win the Heisman, you were able to formulate this brilliant thesis.

love it, keep being you.
