“We anticipate our leadership to be meeting with the league in early April on their plan for any work rules coming out of the Miami investigation,” NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith told USA TODAY Sports on Monday at the union’s player representative meeting.

However, the report also said “it appears that the Dolphins’ rules of workplace behavior were not fully appreciated and, with respect to at least some of their actions, (Richie) Incognito and his teammates may not have been clearly notified that they were crossing lines that would be enforced by the team with serious sanctions.”

The NFL has not yet contacted the union to discuss potential discipline for the three offensive linemen implicated. Guards Incognito and John Jerry are free agents. Center Mike Pouncey remains under contract.

The union’s separate investigation into the Miami situation, led by attorney Richard Smith, has not yet been completed.

but the real crime: Goodell's salary of 44 million.

your league is fixed sir.

No amount of rules will work, unless the person being harassed confronts the harassor. There are steps you take, and if you don't follow those steps, you turn into a snake.

No. It's completely fair IMO. He was appointed leader, thus he gets paid what the leader should make, that we cannot argue, it was chosen by peers. As for pay, $44 million is A LOT, but that is less than 0.5% of what the NFL makes a year. How many CEOs, et al. make less than 1% of an organizations take, let alone 0.5%?
the NFL is not a multi-billion dollar earning organization. the 32 teams are. and the 32 teams pay taxes. just an fyi.
Not quite.

My issue with this (and I live in Raven country) is the total disappearance of the Ray Rice incident, yet the Bullying Scandal went on for weeks, and is still being talked about. For God's sake, we had a man knock out his fiancee and I believe mother of his child and drag her out of an elevator unconscious!!!!

Yup, really. That link says nothing about the NFL being a non-profit, nor does it say where those billions of dollars go. Which is to it's members...the 32 teams. That link also doesn't say that the billions of dollars that was made, didn't get taxed, which it did...

People need to understand there are three separate, distinct components to what is called the NFL: The League Office, NFL Ventures, and the 32 individual teams. The League Office is responsible for the rules and administration of the game itself. It is the organization that pays the Commissioner, executive staff, and referees. The League Office is funded through membership dues paid by the 32 teams. It is operated as a 501(c)(6), and it makes no profit. NFL Ventures is owned collectively by the 32 NFL teams and operates as a limited partnership. NFL Ventures is responsible for the licensing of TV contracts, merchandise, video games, etc. Because it is a limited partnership, all of the profit is allocated to the 32 limited partners (the NFL teams themselves). Those teams then pay tax on that profit. Finally, the 32 individual teams are responsible for local operation of their club. They pay taxes on things like ticket sales, concessions, and local sponsorships. They also pay taxes on the profits from NFL Ventures.

Agreed.

More and more rules aren't going to prevent someone from simply making the decision to stay quiet and not snitch. I'm going a bit out on a limb, but I'm predicting there will be some kind of policy in place where player's feelings are gathered either though egging-it out of them with regular counseling/persuasion, or through involuntary monitoring of player's interactions with one another; security cameras, locker room moles, reading phone texts between players, etc.

I would hope it doesn't happen, but I wouldn't put it past crazy Goodell.
