You can’t play fantasy land like that. Besides you , no one had any idea Brown would be this good including all the professional teams that pass over him through most of 4 rounds.

You go with the for sure likely talent in Waddle if that’s the position you wanted over maybe Brown.

Actually... I did. I said it loud and long... and passing on Waddle was something I openly advocated. I wanted Parsons in the worst way.

I'm not always right... but that year, I think I had it.

I actually didn't think he'd last until the fourth.

I figured he'd go in the 2nd or early 3rd, so I would've over-drafted him, so to speak.
