Has anyone read any info regarding Opening Day 2006 and whos performing?

Also, the Marlins play at Dolphin Stadium that night, so I am assuming that no Concert will take place at this Years Super Bowl venue as in the past due to the Marlins playing in town.

I have spent all day today looking for info trying to locate that commercial I saw on NBC last night saying Diddy and another performer...

Someone help me with this info!!

Thanks

The game against the Steelers is not at home so I dont think the Marlins will have anything to do with it. Plus they dont play in Jan. so it shouldnt hurt anything at the Super Bowl.

Hey Brad....Next time, you should read my entire post before replying.

For the past 2 years, the opening game has been played at the home of the previous year Super Bowl Champ. Therefore, they have done a concert at the stadium of the opening game plus at the site of that years super bowl. Therefore, if they were following the past 2 years tradition, there would be a concert in Pittsburgh and in Miami.

From The Herald-----"A free concert by hip-hop mogul Diddy and R&B singer Cassie on Miami Beach's Ocean Drive will be the Miami part of a dual-city, half-hour pregame show before the Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers kick off the 2006 NFL season at Heinz Field."

A combination of hip-hop, R&B and reggaeton will help ring in the NFL season on South Beach on Sept. 7.

Diddy, Cassie, Tego Calderon and DJ Riz are scheduled to perform a free NFL Opening Kickoff concert at a stage that will be set up at Ocean Drive and Seventh Street. Gates will open at 3 p.m. with festivities running until 8:15.
The South Beach and Heinz Field events will be featured during NFL Opening Kickoff 2006, a program that will appear from 8 to 8:30 p.m. on NBC leading into the Dolphins-Steelers game coverage.

A Punt, Pass and Kick event, youth football clinics, autograph signings and other activities will be at Lummus Park in Miami Beach on Sept. 6 and 7.
