Adam Gase at the forefront of Miami Dolphins’ free agent recruiting pitches.

Free agency was easier for the Dolphins than it’s been in a long time.

Not only were they successful in several recruiting pitches, they were flooded with players wanting to talk.

“It really resonated with the players and agents seeing how much we care about our players,” vice president Mike Tannenbaum said today at the NFL’s annual meeting. “I can’t tell you how many calls we got from other players that we just didn’t have an interest in. It took off way more quickly than we thought, and I think heading into the future, if and when we approach certain free agents, that’ll be a big part of our narrative.”

I think players love and respect Gase, they want to play for him an that's exactly how we got those ten wins last year.
 
A good organization....south beach....new stadium....plus we won ten games last season
 
But none of them signed.

Yeah, I know, low ball offers. We got cheap players at cheap prices even though we are full of cheap, mediocre at best players. I would have loved to have seen the names of the hoardes the players all kicking and gouging to get to Miami.

More hype.
 
Sounds good but I do agree that there is little evidence of that unless you count Julius Thomas taking a pay cut. But he is lucky to get anything at this point in time
 
The way we are handing out guaranteed money, I have little doubt players want to get on board. :chuckle:
 
I have no doubt some players definitely showed an interest in Miami this offseason because of Adam Gase. Just like I have no doubt there are other players who don't give a **** about that and just want to get paid.

Regardless, the future seems brighter than it did a couple of years ago, and that's all I care about it.
 
You see the type of deals we're handing out to unexceptional players lol....makes sense.
 
Damned if you do sign players and damned if you don't. You guys are really petty. There is no satisfaction allowed for anything.

One would think that the Dolphins were one of the worst run organizations in the NFL reading some of your whiny posts.

We just had our first winning season in 8 years and haven't won a playoff game since the '01 season. Also prior to last season we were considered the Cleveland Browns of the South. We're now seemingly headed in the right direction, but let's not get full of ourselves thinking we deserve praise beyond last year.
