NFL Power Rankings: Trainning Camp

lol did you see this?

The rankings were determined by a poll of four voters on ESPN.com's NFL staff: writers John Clayton (AFC East, NFC East), Jeffri Chadiha (AFC North, NFC North), Paul Kuharsky (AFC South, AFC West), and Mike Sando (NFC South, NFC West).

In that scenario the Dolphins play 8 games against teams rated higher than them, and 8 games against teams rated lower than them.

The average ranking of our 16 games is #13.5. If you give the Dolphins' ranking a +2.5 for away games and a -2.5 for home games, and do the same with their opponents, then the Dolphins are better than 8 opponents and worse than 8 opponents. This lends itself to an 8-8 record, or 9-7 if you believe as I do that they could collect a cheap victory in Week 17 when the Steelers travel down to Miami after having in all likelihood solidified their playoff standing.

Power rankings should not be allowed until after week 1 of the season and even that is too early.

"Training camp: power ranking"
awesome! we have the 15th best training camp Roster!... lol

I don't think the Chargers should be ahead of the Dolphins...
Im happy the patriots arent number 1 for once.. and
im thankful that these guys aren't on the Jets peckers..

i can also see them being wrong about a lot of the people on that list
i could see the Bengals having an awesome season..
the packers being one of the worst teams in the league again and soo on....

Last year it was all doom and gloom so we are way up. In a few more day training camp and preseason will tell us alot. Most fans think everything is great in fin land but we may have problems that are totally unknown. Until then even the talking heads/ gurus have no idea what is going to happen. Our secondary is young and most of our interior offensive line is coming back from an offseason of IR. That just for starters we could discuss the possible shortcomings of the WR's and DL also. Yes we are miles ahead this year compared to last year with answers but we are not a slam dunk. The area's we have few questions compared to last year at this time are at QB, TE, LB, OT, FB and RB which is great improvment but the phins do not have a full deck of cards to play yet.

Not so fast.

The Steelers went 8-8 in 2006 after winning the super bowl in 05.

Another hangover wouldn't surprise me.

For a preseason ranking 15 is about right. Did anyone see the Fox Sports one? They have us at 19 BEHIND the freakin' Bills?! What are they smokin'. Just because TO is there they are all of a sudden 4 spots better than us? They offensive line is pretty poor and Edwards? Are you kidding Me?

I know none of this means squat but please...
