NFL QB's with FEWER College Starts than Tannehill

I'm not 100% sure but I think becoming a WR was his coaches idea.

I'm 100% certain T-Hill said in a pre-draft interview for ESPN that coach Sherman (or he may have just said "his Coach") asked him to take some reps at WR in practice... Then a few practices later he was informed he was their starting WR...

I think after Pat White took that hit, he knew the NFL wasn't for him. I can't deny he was pretty good athlete, just not built for the NFL. With that said, I really wish we didn't take him. I know it's water under the bridge but I would like to know who demanded that pick, Tuna, Ireland, Sprano???? I heard somewhere Ireland said the Tuna pushed for it but wasn't sure if that was a fact or not.

so we got moon, montana, it's certainly its not often, there were a few qbs traded that I thought... well were they elite... yes... are they canton bound? No. Bledsoe shows up on list, but with a ~80 career QBR, and the fact that his first trade was facilitated by the emergence of brady, I don't know if i'd call him elite at that time.


I was reminded of the fact the bills traded a first round pick for Rob Johnson, and traded for the aforementioned bledsoe. Ah the bills.

But let's not lose track of what is undoubtedly true, which is that you can be a very good quarterback -- a Super Bowl winner, worthy of a first round pick, and so on -- and not make the Hall of Fame.

Roy_miami or whatever his name is was taking issue with me using Jay Cutler as an example of a quarterback who had a bad winning % in college who still went on and had more success than "winners" because Cutler isn't elite and doesn't look like he's headed to the Hall of Fame.

To me, that is setting your bar just a bit too high. I would gladly take rookie Jay Cutler on this team. I would gladly take right now Jay Cutler on this team. He's a guy who can win you games and is good enough to win a Super Bowl, in my view. Others can disagree, but that's my evaluation.

yeah about jay cutler, good qBs can come from lousy college teams true. Once again the saying... Qbs get too much credit and take too much blame.
