On Sirius NFL Radio's Afternoon Blitz today Solomon Wilcots felt that there was very little slippage in terms of talent from Joe Thomas to Levi Brown. He said something to the effect of "If Joe Thomas is considered 1A, then Levi Brown is 1B". He predicted Arizona would very possibly pick Levi Brown at the 5th pick in the draft. Adam Schein then countered saying that Alan Branch would be their pick. I've said all along that Levi or Branch would be the guy for us at #9. Many have scoffed at picking Levi at #9. However, with Levi's stock on the rise we may be lucky to have a shot at him. Thoughts?

Branch or Brown makes sense at #5 for the cardinals, and despite what some people on this board think, neither would be a reach for Arizona, and both would be good selections for them.

Brown just needs one solid 40 time around 5.2 and he'll be legit in front of the media. The Cardinals could care less though.

Matt L. is a southpaw. The Card need the rarest of all non-skill players, a pass blocking RT.

*cough* Veron Carey *cough*

I don't think it's all that difficult to find one to be honest. However, the other team's best pass-rusher still is going against your LT so it only does so much as far as your concern for who's playing the position.

SOLOMON WILCOTS?!?! Why didn't you say something sooner? Brown is a lock at 5!

yea the Cardinals need an LT, and their O-line is practically set. i dont see how the Cardinals dont have the best offense...they got a young Matt Leinart...Edge at RB, Boldin and Fitzgerald at WR...and a pretty solid OL.

One thing is for sure, with all these teams that pick before us and not taking an OL in the first round are sure to get one in the second. Ouch.

They were talking today on NFL Network about linemen and which teams would be going that direction and the ravens were mentioned to be very interested in the guards and possible LT replacement for the guy who has brought up the R word(they got the Jets #37).

There's no way the cards would take Brown over Joe Thomas...you guys can't believe everything that everyone says out there or you'll go crazy. And we're not taking Brown at 9 imo.....Cam's looking for a guard and posibly a center before he's looking for a LT.

Ozzy rules!!

If we are hinting toward Joe Staley, frankly every day that goes by between now and the draft he gets closer to the first round.

Umm, I didn't see the post that put L.Brown in front of J.Thomas. What I posted was that there are a lot of comparisons between the two and some people (OK one person Solomon Wilcots) feels that it isn't much of a stretch from Thomas to Brown. Thomas is still the top LT pick and as far as I know that is a consensus. If you have L.Brown at #9 and you pick a Center or Guard instead, your fired in the NFL or at least booed by your fans. I don't feel like becoming the Jets anytime soon thank you.

Where and how out of curiosity do you deduce that AZ has a "pretty solid OL"? They were terrible. Everyone is focusing on stopping Fitz and Boldin, yet Edge STILL has a horrible ypc, and both Leinart and Warner were punching bags for DL-man. Their skill players are excellent... but when you lose the battle in the trenches, life is still tough on O'!

Then who's our starting LT? To say we'd look for guard or center before a T is crazy... especially when we really don't have a starting LT right now! WHO'S our LT?!?!?
