NFL Season Ticket

Just got Direct TV and will be out of town camping this weekend and tried to record a game yesterday while running arrands and got back to see that nothing but black screen was recorded. Anyone know how to record games on the DVR. Regular shows and college games have been ok just the NFL games is where I seem to have a problem.

make sure you have the right channel.

They broadcast the games on 2 different channels. One for regular tv the other for HD tv. If you don't have HD and are taping that channel,you will get a black screen

Did you buy NFL Sunday Ticket? If so, then where are you from and what game were you tring to watch? Sometimes they black the games out even on Sunday Ticket. A lot of times if it is the game of the week it is blacked out on Ticket.

Oh yeah! That too. I have the Super Fan this year though so I get the HD games this year as well.

Always worked for me, I dunno. Also a reminder, make sure you record the program after the game, first time I recorded one it went past the NFL Football slot and into whatever was next and I didn't get the end of the game. :fire:

If you wanted to watch a game that is being broadcasted on your local channels, then you have to record from the local channels. They will be blacked out on the Sunday ticket.

Thanks I will check that, the local game in my area was the Lions and Seahawks, so I went to record the Bill/ Pats game and just went to like 709 or something like to record and didn't look for if that was HD or not. Thanks for the info
